Idk if bio checks his KZbin comments but I'm an aspiring support main (not a grill) and I play a fair bit of alistar, although I main thresh, and I was just wondering what the benefits of coin on Ali would be over relic shield and why rushing ruby sightstone worked in this game. Aaron Tobias Ruby lowers your active item CD, and allows you to put out 3-4 wards whereas regular SS will kill a ward after 2 I believe

+sicasian ik what ruby ss does it's just that I fail to see why he would rush it so early if the passive is essentially wasted since you don't have many actives that early. Oh and ss kills a ward after 3.

I get it when I play ali too mostly because early game you earn your 650 quest gold sooner most times and it builds into talisman which I build often when I play him. Talisman plus Righteous glory and movespeed runes can be spooky for the enemy. Plus the mana regen which ancient coin is real nice and juicy for alistar
