"During the Delhi Sultanate on the one hand many temples of Banaras were destroyed during the war time, on the other hand we have references that show some *temples were built also in Banaras by Delhi sultans* such as the *rebuilding of the Vishvanath temple in Iltutmish’s reign* (1211-36) {Motichandra. 1985. @Nilkamal Chowdhury he was not a tolerant ruler.....he was the muderer of his brothers, wherever his at went they carried sword and fire....agar altamash nahi hote toh ho sakta hai changes Khan invasion Kar deta..read history from ignou, Satish Chandra and standard books.....altamash was a good ruler who saved India and Delhi became the seat of learning which is also known as the Baghdad of east...sultans saved India from Mongol invasions and Mughal from Chinese and safavid dynasties ...learn history from right angle and also look from different perspective
