what is the difference between tool and software ?

From Bioinformatics perspective, Software is a complete set of program or set of instruction that needs installation on your computer while on the other hand the tools could be considered as the piece of software that doesn't need installation and are available online. some of the e.g. of bioinformatics software's are PyMOL (Molecular visualization software), MEGA (Molecular Evolutionary Genetic Analysis) etc. some of the tools are Clustal Omega (Clustal W), iCn3D (Molecular visualization tool) etc.
