The last 3 minutes were what I needed. As a christian, I have been relying too much on my own strength and knowledge. And I forgot how God has been guiding me in the past. Thank you for sharing this message. God bless your ministry.

Just recently started coming across J.P. Moreland here on YT. We had his “Scaling The Secular City” as one of our textbooks for an Apologetic class way back in in ~ 1988-1991 and that book and the name of its author have been lodged in my memory ever since. 👍🏻

@@deborah41541 Are you still with us, Deborah? I've been through losing 2 parents, a husband and son, and my own health and ability to produce life sustaining income. And I can tell you that God is more real and precious to me today than He ever was because I've had to cling to Him to survive my own desire to die. Either He is an all wise, all powerful, good and loving God, or we might as well give up the pretense of believing in Him. If He is all of those things, then there is sufficient reason for us to remain alive long enough to find out what He wants for our lives. I pray that you can do that because I know beyond doubt that He made you and wants to share His love with you. He who didn't spare His own Son...how will He not also give us all things?" Thanks, J.P. This a great reality check about God speaking to us. Some Christian teachers believe we are overly focused on hearing God whispering to us. I think they may be right about people who want God to micromanage their lives like an ever present director, but I think that sometimes you do get a strong push from the Lord to do something via a convicting feeling, an audio event, a visual event, or some heightened perception of a mundane physical event.

If you listen carefully to this lecture you will see that the described experiences can not be explained by autosuggestion. Dr Moreland is far from alone in having words of knowledge and visions. You can multiply these amazing stories by thousands all over Christendom. Perhaps the Lord will reveal Himself to those who have made negative comments here, maybe not. His silence may be that it is not your time yet, or simply due to the fact that, "He shows mercy to whom He shows mercy, and He hardens whom He hardens." See Romans 9.

Yes.. either he is not telling the truth or fell prey to coincidences or other people who told him how did he know this was lying to him or it is from the Lord... Just quite a few possibilities if this stuff is not true... Like the guy who said Lord do you see me.. could JP of heard it and it went into his subconsciousness and he thought he heard it from the Lord? Love to get a hold of this man

Has anyone ever gotten a DUI, or done something completely stupid or wrong in their adult lives? Would anyone, being an adult, get a DUI or do something stupid then turn around and blame their parents for said persons own stupidity or actions? Why blame G-d for things that mankind has been doing to themselves ever since Adam and Eve ate the apple..

So I have a question ? So he mention that there are things that God has no will for …and he referenced 1 chronicles 17… stating that God told him do what’s in his heart but that was actually Nathan then right underneath that scripture what was in David’s heart or what he wanted to do God directed him to not do …. So how can you reference that when it doesn’t help what you actually said …

DO ANGELS & DEMONS EXIST ? God spoke to you a number of times ? & angels around you several times ? While kid's die of hunger in poor countries & from deseases after number of prayers from "morally demolished" parents, & never been answered by God, no sign whatsoever ? Doc, with all my respects as a "person", (I don't care about your education, I have one too), let me ask you this question : Are you sure you are not suffering from "personality disorder" needing attention such as narcissism mixed with histrionism mixed with a bit of paranoïa & schizophrenia ? You must know that when a mind (subconscience) is suffering in distress, can send to the "consciousness" (natural survival instinct) a "message of alert" to tell you : "do "something", "anything" to get "help" & as consequence & result, the brain (consciousness) reacts unconsciously & can make you do crazy things such as "christian illumination", thinking that you are Jesus himself, or another elected chosen prophet from God (guru of sect) or taking yourself for a superman. Oh, don't get me wrong ! I do believe you spoke to God ! You seemed sincere ! & I do believe this student saw those angels around you also & that other lady in the church who saw the "same thing" (angel) as you ! Cause you are telling me & seem sincere ! But are you telling the truth ? & are they telling the truth or just teasing you (because they know already about your "visions" & conversations with God) ? Or are you just "another" manipulator ? It's funny because you seem the only one amongst millions of people to have experienced a few conversations directly with God & to have seen angels ! What are you trying to pull, doc ? Make more money ? Attract students to your courses ? Resurrect the christian church because dying (because hurting your beliefs) ? Become some kind of "Jesus Superstar Guru" ? I mean, if you had "special gifts" like "Padre Pio" or "Frère André" or "Nostradamus" (prophecies) had, then I wouldn't doubt you ! But it's not your case !
@labae8728
@labae8728 3 жыл бұрын
That’s weird you said he’s the only one out of millions who God directly spoke to and have seen angels. Because I hear many stories from other people that have those experiences. So that’s a strawman view. You should also see someone commenting to you but on another comment and I hope you got their point. Though I know this is a very old comment here lol

That's right, JP. It is entirely normal for believers to experience god's silence....because he a figment of their imagination, and sometimes they focus on reality instead. I applaud your honesty in revealing this painful truth. Cheers ...oh, wait. You're actually going to give some rubbish justification as opposed to stating the obvious. Darn, I'm disappointed yet again. The stupid, it hurts...
