Dr Dome, my hero! I would like to know, l made a wrong decision to have a CeraRoot ceramic implant place in an immediate extraction site 2 weeks ago on tooth #19. Conebeam scan showed abscess on mesial root tip and it made sense at the time. CeraRoot size #16 slipped into the mesial root socket of 19. It is very subgingival and not ideal placement at all. Since it has been in place only 2 weeks would you think it would be OK to unscrew it back out and allow the site to heal properly with bone grafting and PRF and 6 months to heal so we can place it exactly where we want it. Or is it too dangerous at this point to remove it?

Hi Connie, hard to say from distance. Immediate implants is what we favor too. However if it’s totally misplaced I believe now is the perfect timing to change it as it’s not stable yet. It might even be possible to gently unscrew and place it perfectly at this point of time, if you get it primarily stable with 30-35ncm!!! Go with the gut feeling here and trust the process best Dr Dome 🙏🏼
