That was a superb lecture! I graduated medical school 18 years ago and I don't think I never quite understood ECG until now. Keep up the great work. I am in awe!!!

Hi Dr. Mike, I just wanted to express how much I appreciate your videos. My husband mentors our local elementary school's Science Olympiad team, and although neither of us have a medical background, your videos have been a game-changer. They’re not only clear and easy to understand, but also so engaging that even the elementary school kids are captivated. Last year, the topic was the respiratory system, and out of over 20 teams, all three teams from our school placed-taking first, second, and sixth! This year, the topic is the cardiovascular system, and we’ll definitely be turning to your videos again. Thank you so much for creating such accessible and fun content!

The Science Olympiad Division A teams did well again! Two out of three teams placed this time, taking third and sixth. Thank you for your videos! It is pretty amazing to see these third and fourth graders talking about the semi lunar valves, the cuspid valves, the SA node, AV node, the PQRST waves….like it’s nobody’s business.

I found your channel last week while studying pharmacology, and now with you guys to brush up on cardiology! I like the camera panning. I'm a very "visual concept web" way of thinker so I like how you draw everything up and leave it there to reference back on. Highly recommend your channel to any students or professionals needing review.

The deflections (upward/downward) depend on the positions of the different electrodes (leads) with regard to the depolarisation and repolarisation waves (vectors). This video may help you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5u9lIGJpsxsbdE

No, the eyes show the angles at which the leads “observe” the electrical changes. 😊
