I’ve taken Chemistry a couple of times different stages of my life. No one, not even in an elite school did a teacher or instructor ever explain it that way. All I remember was those damn circles and the adding and subtracting atom or electrons. I’m 5 minutes into this teaching and already know so much more that I ever knew. I’m watching this now cause I’m taking Anatomy and physiology. And I by passed the chemistry chapter 1. I’m reviewing is being that since this is a later stage in my life. I’m to make sense of all this. Than I find Dr Mike saving my chemistry 🧪 chapter! Thanku Dr Mike!

It may be just me but I'm not sure it was made clear that elements only contain atoms of the same type (only gold atoms, only calcium elements). If a group of atoms contain more than one type of atom (held together through bonds), then it is called a compound. I love these videos and reference to Carl Sagan!
