Some clips of the bioluminescent plankton from a recent night on the coastline of Gower in Wales. I will soon be sharing a video about 'everything you need to know' about the plankton. alynwallacepho...

@@borntraveller007 problem is that most of the time the bioluminescent plankton is best visible after midnight and only during summer months and especially after a hot day. I made some great photo's last year when I was at nighthunt for comet Neowise Good luck, it's truly magical 👍

It's surreal. After seeing it for myself and swimming in a bioluminescent bay in Puerto Rico nearly 15 years ago this video makes me want to recapture those moments. Thanks for sharing Alyn. I think you are starting to deviate from JUST astronomy and I have to say I think it shows you are more than just a 1 dimensional KZbin personality. Thanks for being yourself, and showing us how you just have an interest and wonder about all that this universe has to provide. I hope to bring that to my channel eventually as well. Cheers! ~ Dave "Cosmos Safari" Farina

I love your posts, and was inspired by your Stonehenge vlog recently, however many of your techniques are beyond my reach. I would love a short series around people like myself taking single images and still grasping the basics with very limited budget. What the camera image should look like before processing, basic techniques before and during processing would be great. How to get the best out of a single image. Loving your work though 👍

Stunning isn't it. I had the enormous pleasure of experiencing this sailing in the deep Western Pacific too, with the added intensity of dolphins darting around us leaving their incredible phosphorescent wakes behind them like vapor trails crisscrossing. Plus add their squeaks of chatter, sublime. That experience will never leave me. Thanks for sharing, John.

Hey Alyn, Just an FYI. I got one of those V Platform products and it fixed the problem I was having with shooting the milky way. Just attaching the ball head to the front of the tracker is really awful. Now I can attach the ball head to the V Platform, align it horizontally and attach the camera with much better movement.

Wow just wow! You've given me a hell of an idea though. Here in Bermuda we have glow worm season, which are tiny little creatures that mate 3 days after a full moon in the summer time. They emit bioluminescents when they do.....Would be cool to do a bit of a time lapse or long exposure with the ISO turned up.
