P. S. But _TBH_ the Russian voice actors In _this particular movie_ were better than the original voice actors (specifically Vakama’s and Lhikan’s). Don’t think that i am and hope I’m not biased here

I don’t think I’m biased here, because most of the time i hate how they translate western movies, shows and stuff into Russian. But this (and “Let it Go” from Frozen) are the exceptions where i like Russian version much more (though in “Let it Go” they are almost same for me. Unlike here)

And the storyteller’s voice sounds better in russian localization (at least as it seems to me). Though, Matau’s voice may seem not very fitting comparing to the original, I even liked it more than in english too.

It's so weird to see these movies knowing the events that are happening in the background, like all the events that this scene 51:33 led to, like the prisoneers escaping from The Pit, the escape of Tuyet right under their feet, the great spirit robot falling in Aqua Magna, Voya Nui breaking away from the continent. And all the characters involved in those events, that's a sing of a well written story.

Like when they all were skeptical of Keetongu until they weren’t, or when Matau talked to Vakama and he suddenly did a total 180° on his betrayal. With this movie, it felt like the growth from Matoran to Toa hero was natural and sensible.

The scene at 24:20 has never made much sense to me. Makuta was impersonating Dume at this point but it makes it look like Dume was in league with Makuta.

The Makuta is both an individual and a species/group. The one that acts as the main villain in the two prequels is Makuta Teridax, who is not at this point the leader of their brotherhood.

There's something about the animation style thay they used for these films that give them a 'timeless' feel. Other CGI movies with massive budgets at the time imo aged poorly (for the most part), but honestly that has more to do with their use of human characters, whereas these ones dont, thus not having to worry about the uncanny valley problem.

i have a question, 24:17, is DUME bad? like is him a rogue Turaga? is that even posible? did Makuta betrayed him and took his form at 44:36 or it was planned by both of them? why would dume betray mata nui? was him under the influence of makuta? that 2 scenes gave me so much confusion in my childhood. i guess if a toa can go rogue (like nidiki) a turaga can go rogue too? someone please explain it to me! also was him always bad or he turned bad for some reason?

No Makuta only imprisoned him and took his form so he could take over metru nui and overthrow mata nui. Later on when Mata Nui finally awakes supposedly, it shows the true Dume back in control and celebrating his return.
