Bionicle Lore Explained: The Toa Hagah

Iruini was my favorite Toa Hagah. His element, personality, and mask power made him a force of chaos. Also, my dad is a huge Green Bay Packers fan and he would often borrow Iruini from me to display him in his office as a way to engage me while taking advantage of Iruini's green and gold color scheme to match his Packers gear. Also, Iruini's color scheme was the only green and gold Toa in the series, and I had gold hair when I was a kid and I have dark green eyes, so I loved that I matched one of my favorite Toa, especially since I was very self-conscious.

Iruini was my first Bionicle set. He and his kanohi Kualsi will forever be my favorite toa and mask respectively.

My 1st set was hahli of the inika... she broke really quick but i replaced her pieces with the matoro inika parts i found in my brothers room since i couldnt recomolete him this year. I now have rebuilt an entire box of bionicle and even made my own. I used ti have a toa hagah but it wasnt from the bionicle it was called robot invincibility a cheap copy but i have an idea of what i can build with the left over parts 😁

Iruini's definitely my favorite. Story-wise, I loved seeing a more cynical Toa, and he had one of the simplest but best mask powers. Set-wise, awesome color scheme and amor piece choice. My favorite canister set, and my second favorite toa in all of Bionicle (only behind Pohatu). Great video!

Those are some great MOC's. I love the use of kanohi for shoulder pads. Are they just the noble versions of the kanohi they're wearing?

For the shoulder pads my idea was to use masks that fit well with main mask in order to be cohesive. So on Iruini for instance, I used the Kanohi Arthron for his shoulders since it had sharp edges that jutted outward, similar to the tusks on his Kanohi Kualsi.

Those were actually Custom Fan-Made Masks, and not Hero Factory helmets. Though I can't say I blame you for thinking that, since they look pretty similar.

Saying about the Toa Hagah have Metallic Armor and resembling Past Heroes kinda sounds like my Spider Man Costume cause of me having a Metallic Spider Logo and the Suit was inspired by 2 different Spider Men from the past before the MCU that are Tobey Maguire and Ben Reilly
