Yes, but people have literally fought off the government because they were armed when, yes, the American government was unfairly coming after them. And won the lawsuits because the government was in the wrong, too. We own guns because early America well knew the governments run wild. And many areas of the US have over 50% of the people armed. There are even areas where they require you to be armed, and gun violence isn't a problem. You'll be awfully polite to people if you know they're all armed. It's places like Detroit and Chicago, with massive gun restrictions and extremely low gun ownership, where they have a major problem with violence. And if you trust the government: Operation Autumn Gold Copper Head MK Ultra Operation Northwoods Operation Paperclip Operation Fast & Furious Operation Mockingbird Tsukegee Experiments Waco Ruby Ridge JFK NSA Spying Building 7 Gulf of Tonkin Chicago Black Sites Flint Water Crisis Iran Contra Gary Webb NDAA Patriot Act Bilderberg Group Bohemian Grove Abu Grahib Guantanamo Bay (And haven't even gotten into things like Epstein's island, if you think "Epstein's island" is the only island, then I have 5,000 missing migrant children who might be wishing they had a machine gun right now who wish to speak to you.) Our gun rights weren't about hunting. Our guns right were about fighting off tyrannical governments, because you can be guaranteed that every government will attempt to become tyrannical.

It's fun to sleep under the stars, listening to the sounds of nature, sitting around a fire with friends and/or family just roasting s'mores and hotdogs, and sharing stories about old times or just making up stories for entertainment. Luckily I've never had anything life altering, thank god, but when I heard him tell 'Pinch' which was the second story he told, I was like oh hell no, I would have straight $#!+ myself. You wouldn't have caught me dead with a backpacking/hiking tent anyway but that's besides the point. If you're like me when you go camping you sleep with no less than 3 razor sharp knifes that will shave the hair off your arm so I can say for sure when he leaned over my tent someone would have died before the sun came up... Hearing complaints from people who were in the cabins nearby over time caused the police to most likely evict them because for one the houses were unsafe, two the land there is contaminated and three tourists couldn't leave it the hell alone. Look up Picher Oklahoma it's pretty depressing. The land was so contaminated and still is to this day. They are still cleaning up the mounds of toxic chat left there from zinc mining.

No offense the sheer lack of knowledge in the part about guns was frankly infuriating now I am not the most knowledgeable on guns or the gun control situation but the vast majority of violence involving firearms is committed using handguns which you can easily get 90 round drum mags for glocks btw much bigger then any shotgun or rifle so the idea that removing anything bigger then handguns will help is totally false

yeah not to mention the fact that you can conceal a pistol far better than a rifle/shotgun and the fact that I can't exactly effectively hunt with a Glock; and while I could get a really big revolver why would I want to do that when I could just use my Mossberg 12 gauge. I'm from the US but in Japan (a country with some of the strictest gun control ever) you can ONLY own a shotgun (and I guess some very small bore rifles are available) because they're for all major types of shooting; you can hunt, target shoot, shoot trap/skeet and obviously defend your home. you also need to get approval then take a class and pass your range test with a 95% accuracy rating or better or they won't give you the license to purchase. They reserve pistol use for police and military side arms and they are banned for civilian ownership. They also have strict storage and transporting laws but that's something else entirely.
@LucianUchiha2 жыл бұрын
Most magazines that large are not only illegal in most states but is also violently impractical. Only an idiot would attach a 90 round mag to their pistol; the extra weight would make it almost impossible to shoot the side of a barn. You also left out something important: the vast majority of gun crime is committed with illegal weapons, mostly stolen weapons. There's over 1000 gun laws in the US and almost none of them have impacted gun crime in a way of reduction, it was almost the opposite.

In Australia it’s illegal to use a gun outside anywhere that’s a shooting range. It’s illegal to use it or even threaten someone with a gun even if they break in and try to murder you. You need a listener to own guns, it’s a whole process. But riffles are the ones we are way way easier than hand gun license here, because it’s easy to conceal. Guns can’t be brought outside unless on direct way to shooting range. If you legally own a gun it has to be kept in a locked safe with no magazines or ammo near the safe or inside. They have to be stored away. Also mace and pepper spray is illegal completely 😬

I admit I did not enjoy the firearm rant, but that's your opinion and are entitled to it, but back to background checks. in every state in the union to legally by a firearm the gun store has to preform a background check. In my state the only time they skip the background check is if you have a CCL (Concealed Carry License ). Why because the government already did a background check and decided this person can legally carry a firearm and hide it. Even rifles they do background checks. And even private sellers will not sell a firearm without ID and a state carry license maybe excluding the states that have constitutional carry, I dunno my state unfortunately doesn't have that.
