I know that the subject is complicated but.... those psychologists failed that kid. There were so many signs and red flags indicating that he was not well and potentially a risk, and yet they just let him go without further assessment. It was literally recorded that he had a history of lying, and yet they just took him on his word of being fine. If they had done more than the bare minimum, those innocent people wouldn't have died. My heart goes out to this kid's mother, whose trauma I can't even imagine.

When you mentioned back when anime wasn't cool, it reminded me of when I was a freshmen in art class and we were all supposed to do a project on our favorite artists and my friend chose to do hers on a yaoi anime artist. Her reference for his art was 2 anime guys making out and the seniors in our class just lost it. They bullied her right in front of the teacher so hard, she left crying. I was so livid, I left too to check on her. I felt so bad for her cuz all she wanted to do was share an art style she was passionate about. This has absolutely nothing to do with the video, just a random story I felt like sharing.

A person in the comments of the original video mentioned they theorize a reason the guy when he was little choice to "wear 3 pairs of shorts" around the house, is because he probably could've been abused at that age and they say some kids do that to protect themselves.. like how some woman wears baggy clothes. Being a fan of Applejack myself, and feeling a personal connection to her in many ways, and lastly: as somebody who's felt unfairly treated tons of times in the past, I got a clear diagnosis at early age thanks to my parents and staff at Pre-School, which turned out to be ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), and even though there have also been many times I've flipped or lashed out, I had never felt the need to kill or threaten anyone with death for it. It's clear that this guy had several diagnoses, though. (I know people who've had several syndromes because of their more destructive behavior than people with only one syndrome such as ASD, ADD, ADHD and so on) Oh, and something I frogot to mention in another video regarding this horrific occurence, it coincidentally happened on my 23d birthday. Aside from that, my heart goes out to all the living people who went through this in the middle of the night. 🙏😥💞

The fact that you don't have to do a mental health evaluation of any kind before you can buy a firearm is insane. A majority of Mass shooters acquired their guns legally and usually have no criminal record prior to the shooting. The people who do these sort of shooting are not hardened criminals who have the ability to buy a gun illegally. They either steal it from a family member or buy it from a pawn shop. Stricter gun laws and a mandatory Mental health evaluation before purchasing a gun is crucial.

One of the most frustrating things with this story is how the people who's literal job it is to take care of someone's mental health didn't do shit. In many stories like this, the parents will either not notice the warning signs, or see them but not do anything about them. Sheila literally tried to get him help. Going to mental health professionals and mental hospitals and trying to get the police involved so that she, the public, and he would be safe. But most people in this didn't do their fucking job. And yes I did find it weird that Sheila let Brandon buy a gun. But I think she did that so that when she voiced her concerns to the police of Brandon potentially wanting to off himself, she'd be able to use his possession of a firearm as evidence. And I don't blame her as mental health care is treated as a joke in most countries. She probably felt like it would help show the police how serious the situation was. With psychiatrists not helping at all, I don't blame her for taking drastic measures. The fact that she did everything within' her power to try and help her son and to try and keep him from hurting others, even though she couldn't, points to her being a good mother. I can only imagine how helpless she must have felt, especially after losing her husband in such a tragic way.
@kallyb19982 жыл бұрын
My heart goes out to the mother truly. We take account of our child's actions, and some dont. She took in account of the people her son took from hundreds of loved ones and friends. She cries for their family and friends, not the lose of her son. I'm sure she cries in pain wishing life wasn't so, I'm sure she wishes the psychiatrists listened to her, I'm sure that angers her to this day...

Apple jack is not my favorite she’s alright though just my opinion every brony has a favorite, it’s really horrible and tragic that this happened, he could’ve been helped and it would’ve prevented this whole shooting, but as a brony I did feel weird about this, I just wish he would’ve used mlps positive messages to help him through, Apple jack would never do something like he did or any of the ponies, someone should’ve told him that and that he shouldn’t do it, maybe he could’ve changed his mind, he especially didn’t need guns, his mom should’ve never taken him to get guns, he needed to be put in the mental ward and gotten the true help he needed, also maybe meds to, as someone who suffers from depression myself I’ve learned that getting help really hard, nobody takes you seriously, he also needed friends, also having ocd and autism doesn’t help either it makes making friends and life even harder. It’s sad this made some people blame my little pony and the fandom when this happened there’s so many of us bronies who are nice and loving and caring people who would never hurt anymore or anything, I help and care for everyone in need that I can.

Okay i put my bong down to write this, I'm not an anime elitist BUT. I did take animation from a teacher that was a twitch streamer and popular cosplayer so, ahem; Cartoons use +24 frames. Anime uses 12 frames. The style is also important but frames are the big thing. It's for budgeting reasons because, there's alot more shows being pumped out and a good chunk are adaptations of manga so animating like you're budgeted by cartoon network would mean alot of people not be getting paid. Notice how in anime with more movement all the detail gets packed to the action and fighting scenes and the rest of the show is basically a picture with minimal animation for emphasis. Has alot to do with the amount of detail put into the images they need to animate as well, Jojo is a good example of this

I think the lesson here kids is TAKE CARE OF YOUR MENTAL HEALTH!!!! And also STRONG GUN REFORM!!!! I get it’s a really complicated subject but things like this are only really a problem in America it’s fucked up that it is.

I mean I agree but America is too far gone in that respect there are literally more gun than people in the US currently, I honestly think the best thing to do is strong reform

Banning guns would only harm law-abiding citizens. If you keep a psychopath from buying a gun, they’ll seek other methods of murder. There’s quite a lot of stuff you can make with common items. The best thing is strong mental healthcare reform.

As a person with OCD who's romantically attracted to specific fictional characters, this is so fucked.

I really dislike when narrators describe the murderer as having "inner demons" like no, stfu, this awful murderer is a disgusting human being. He decided to do these things. No one and nothing else.

this one was a bit much, i find these topics interesting in a morbid kind of way, but I feel like this video went to far, those 911 calls are really hard to listen to, I kinda feel messed up now, maybe put a trigger warning if video going to go into that much detail.
