For the Scottish land sponsor, we've known about this kind of purchase for years in Scotland (I know that one of the places you can do this is Glencoe) and it's usually gifted to people as a nice gesture or a joke depending on the person, it's the equivalent to paying to name a star after your loved one. And the land itself is forests and farmland, it's mostly a good cause despite it being a bit bizarre to foreigners 😂 Edit: Nevermind, turns out 4 months later, we all find out that charity was pulling things out of their arse

My mom used to make me take my brother to and from school when I was 7 and he just started first grade at 5. Thinking now I’m shocked nothing happened to us. I told my dad recently and asked him why they would make us travel a hour each day alone at that age and he got so mad since he didn’t know it was happening. He worked 3 jobs so my mom could be a stay at home mom but she never actually took care of us later she cheated on him and left us. Later I heard of children’s body’s being found in ditches and so on and It never clicked that that could have been me and my brother until I started listening to true crime.

I just gotta say, hearing him talk about his distrust in people made me feel really validated. I try to stay very distant from coworkers and classmates, especially those who constantly want to know about my personal life, and I say very little about my personal life and mental issues to my family. I have always felt really guilty about this and honestly thought I was a terrible person for living so closed off and being selfish for not wanting to answers others' questions about my life. That being said, I have never felt alone or like I had nobody to help me. All in all, I know I might still feel guilty at times, but hearing my comfort youtuber talk about his distrust and defend it absolutely made my day and brought up my spirit. So, thank you very much Mr. Pig 😊

Alonzo Brooks in 2004 had a similar murder with the second story. He was at a house party in Kansas with friends. Most of his friends left and the one who was supposed to give him a ride home couldn't find him and assumed he got a ride. To summarize he was missing and his family wanted to do a search but since he was last scene on "private property" the police forbid family and friends to find him. Police searched instead with k9s for days and said he was no where. When the family finally were allowed to search, they found Alonzos body hours in face down in the water. There were obvious signs of him being strangled and other assault wounds but coroner's ruled it as "decomposing" even tho his body seemed fresh as if preserved. Not to mention it was very obvious the murderers placed the body in the water. They said he drowned being drunk and tried to close the case. It was clearly a racially motivated murder and it was showcased on unsolved mysteries; reopening the case

Having lived in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for all of my life it has always BOGGLED ME whenever I hear people say they don't lock their doors at night. Just... how?? When I went to college in Florida I had the same issue with my roommates when we lived together off campus. Both of them were from very small towns in Florida (one of the towns was literally called NICEVILLE ffs lol), and they NEVER locked the front door. Even though we were on the first floor of an apartment complex facing a busy road, they NEVER locked the front door. I had to act like their mother and check the door every night before going to bed, and 8 times out of 10 it would be unlocked. There were even a few times that I came home to an _empty apartment_ with the front door _completely_ unlocked. Let me specify that we were THREE COLLEGE GIRLS living together. Not targets at all, right?? Needless to say I was glad that my bedroom door had a lock with a key so at least if my roommates were dumb enough to get robbed, my shit would most likely be left alone because it wouldn't be easy to grab and run, not unlike a locked vs unlocked car. Lock your doors, people. Ffs.

When someone has a partner in life, it’s easy to suggest never trusting anyone. When I was all alone for years on end, no friends, no lover or family I could trust, I was miserable in my lack of trust for people. I longed to be rid of that feeling. Now, with my husband of 3 1/2 years who I can and do trust, it makes it much much easier to say I don’t trust people. I use to. I wish I hadn’t been proven wrong so many times. Trust is definitely something that is earned, but people can be very misleading when they try hard enough

I pose an idea for the Robert Cooper case. The killer's actions did not line up with those of a serial killer. I would like to pose that perhaps the killer was a hitman rather than a serial killer, considering he knew about Al before ever meeting him. While it is claimed the killer killed with efficiency, serial killers tend to kill in inefficient ways due to the fact that they often enjoy their position of power over their victims. It can be argued that the torture lines up with that, but a killer with no motive or connection to the victim wouldn't typically do that unless told to by someone else. Perhaps Al's wife suspected him of cheating, or he owed debts to someone and didn't tell anyone.

My family lives in a very small town and we rent a house from this really nice old woman, and she never did a background check on me or my husband. Even the people we rented a townhouse from before didn’t do a background check. I think, for the most part, if it’s a family thing or it’s one person with a few properties, they generally don’t do background checks. The only time I had a background check run on me when applying for a place to live was when I was going to live in an apartment complex.

But remember, sometimes the nice person can be the scariest and the people who look scary can be the kindest. If you trust people to easily, well you might be on the news, in someone's basement, or whatever else. Trusting people is like trusting a scam call.
