I've had 2nd degree burns before while cooking a dish with a lot of evaporated milk. It was boiling, and one of the bubbles popped and covered my arm with boiling hot milk. I was screaming in pain and tried to rinse it off, but I was arguing with my dad and he wouldn't move out of my way. I ended up getting 2nd degree burns from it, and in my personal experience, the pain kicks in a good few seconds after the initial burn.

Yeah, her talking in lengths about a box cutter left hanging around in her house is because she, in the moment, realized that might look like something used in a serious crime, and so she is preemptively making excuses for it. Over-explaining things that should be insignificant is quite telling. I have an x-acto knife right here on my desk, I use it to open packages all the freakin' time - it's super mundane...
@schibleh531

I thought the same thing when started to babble about it. She even explain in detail what happened to the shitty carpet and that's why she needed the box cutter there. Like, lady, who gives a shit? I lived about 10 minutes from Gannon's neighborhood when this happened. It was truly horrible, but the event brought everyone together in ways that I hadn't seen up until that point. They made a memorial for Gannon at the entrance of the neighborhood and every house changed their porch lights to blue to show their love and support for that boy. Some of the houses never changed the lights back and it shows that people still think about him to this day.

Eh period blood would be just as poor an excuse. When I was a kid I had hooooorible random nosebleeds. I remember waking up one morning with my pillow and half my face covered in blood, my hair sticking straight up with dried blood. If it weren't for the plastic sheets, the bed would have been soaked. It happens. I've rarely stained my sheets with period blood though. But I use pads, not tampons.

I’ve followed this case ever since the beginning and it breaks my heart everytime. Letecia has irreparably destroyed and traumatized so many people’s lives. A true monster in every respect. Her calls to Al was so anger inducing- straight up blood boiling stuff and what’s shown was just a snippet of hours of manipulative, gaslighting, lying bullshit she put that poor father through. But Al did it for Ganon and I 100% believe his phonecalls were a major factor to her guilty verdict and sentencing. 45:36 Give her the Pearl Fernandez special pls

It always surprises me when parents don’t pick up on their child being abused. I like to believe that my alarm bells would be going off and that my motherly instinct would not allow me to over look such abuse. I’m not blaming the parents at all, because what Leticia did is so vile, I can see why it would be unpredictable. But, how was she able to get the opportunity to do this in the first place? I just can’t help but need to believe that I’d be able to tell if someone was abusing my child. I’m so suspicious of the world as it is, and you never really know a person, even if you think you do. You don’t, until the mask slips and it’s too late. The way Gannon was being abused, his spirit was absolutely crushed and that much was so, so clear. God it had to be so clear. How did he go so unseen ?

Not necessarily. When in emergency situations I am extremely calm. I get the shakes, and the adrenaline rush that makes me jittery after things calm down. I've had people not take a situation seriously because I was too calm for it to be THAT bad. I've been told I should have been a nurse, doctor, or EMT because of how calm I stay. It's definitely not the normal response, and obviously can make things seem off, but it's possible to not shake during emergencies. Just some random useless information... I don't think I have that ability anymore due to deteriorating health that makes me shaky at random times. The irony of that is not lost on me. I also don't think the step mom has that ability. She's definitely guilty, and has some sort of emotional deficiency.

@iamThatSandwich yeah, but you would assume the child would run away from fire, but then again he could have panicked, tried to put it out, then his clothing caught fire. I'd need to know a little more about your hair, but if it's super thick and frizzy, try Kerastase Oleo Relax shampoo. (Kerastase has a salon finder on their website, but failing supporting a small business, Sephora has it) it's good for unruly hair. It's a lil on the pricier side, but it's hella concentrated so you don't need a lot. It'll last you forever. Shampoo twice each time you wash. and use a hair mask once a week (your favorite or I use Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil, it's heavy but it smells like cotton candy bubble gum and it feels so incredible). You'll notice a huuuuuge difference. Hairstylist mode deactivated. Anyways... That bitch wild..

@martibee8984 3 ай бұрын
Because society tells people from birth that their lives aren't complete unless they have children, it's just what you're expected to do, and will shame anyone who doesn't want them. See millions of "when are you two having babies?," "Childless cat ladies," etc for examples. Additionally, too many people think teaching children age appropriate sex ed is corruption or evil, so many teens don't know how to protect themselves before becoming active. Add in the forced birthing, even before the bans. Plus mental health care is out of reach for too many people also. Abuse also tends to become a generational trauma as well. The cycle tends to continue with the next generation. I'm sure there are more reasons, but those are what I could think of in under two minutes.
