The Kyle case also always reminds me of Penelope Pratt. She was a young lady in Australia who called 911 bc two men she bought drugs from were following her bc she didn’t pay them. She was huddled in the bushes near the apartments where the men lived and was begging for police to come help her and instead of sending the police the operator hung up on her. Penelope was later found shot, stabbed and with her throat slit. Neither men got more that 22 years in prison for her death and the operator kept her job.

@cannedsquasher59233 ай бұрын
I can't blame the police on this one. They literally weren't provided any information. The dispatcher is 100% at fault. They never relayed the seriousness of the situation, so the cops likely assumed it was a prank as unfortunately people do that. Then the dispatcher never relayed the details of the vehicle nor the location. So obviously the cops were completely in the dark. It is the job of the 911 operator to relay EVERYTHING.

We didn’t realize that it still worked for 911, so when we called and the operator picked up we freaked out and hung up cause we didn’t expect that. well like 5 minutes later, the police were at my aunt house cause they got a call from there and were checking on things. This was all around 11:00pm or so on a weekday also. All this to say; if cops have the ability to check on a couple of kids who accidentally called them, how tf are they so incompetent when it comes to someone calling and saying they think they’re about to d!e. it makes no sense

For Masha's story (Odyssa's Catacombs): Obviously morbid curiosity got the better of me, so I searched up the photo of the corpse. !! This might be a bit graphic, so if you don't want to read about decomposing bodies, you can just skip this comment !! I'm not an expert, but I'd say it looks like more like the body of a man, based on shoe size and body proportions (even though in the highly decomposed state, that might not be completely reliable enough). But based on what looks like hiking shoes or masculine-looking trainers the body is wearing, I don't think they would be that of a teenage girl going out to drink with her friends. As for the clothing, it just looks like a regular t-shirt or an outdoor fleece and basic trousers which, again, isn't something you'd wear going out with friends to celebrate new year. However, maybe 'Masha' just preferred more masculine clothing. Since there's no records of her existence, I guess we'll never know what her clothing preference was. Although from an outside point of view, to me, it looks more like a male adventurer that died after getting lost down there, or - as mentioned in the video - a murder victim would also be more plausible, since there's no signs of any personal belongings around the body. Also, it was briefly mentioned about her bashing her head against the wall, yet in the photo - graphic description incoming - the body is almost completely melted, to the point where theres little to no arms left and the head is basically just a blob of decomposed flesh. I mean, maybe it was easier to see when they were there, but from the photograph, it's hard to say if there's any head trauma there from one photo or without a proper autopsy. Obviously there's a chance that it's a fake body but it looks quite real to me. Although I've never actually seen a decomposed body, I used to watch crime scene cleaning videos so I kinda know how dead bodies react when decomposing. Also, once again, I'm not an expert. I'm just pointing out a few things I noticed as I seached up the photo. And my last point, it would be VERY difficult to find an fake corpse that looks like that. Most fake corpses you see look just like humans but with greyish blue skin and no fat (literally skin and bones). I have never seen fake bodies which are shown actually decomposing. Even in a majority of movies, the most decomposition you'd see would be rotting wounds - not a completely melted/decomposed body. So where they'd find a fake body like that? I have no clue. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my comment, it's the middle of the night for me and I'm in bed so I'm gonna continue watching the video and probably watch a few more afterwards. If you think I'm wrong on something, or have a different opinion, feel free to leave replies as I'm curious to see what others think about this case too.

To be fair, it's quite difficult to prepare yourself for a situation like the one Kyle found himself in. It's something you don't even think would/could happen until it does. From his pictures, he doesn't seem to be very tall while the back of his car looks spacious. It was impossible for him to use his arms or legs to push/leverage himself back up again. The only thing he could/should have done different is call his parents or someone at the school after making the first 911 call. But he couldn't have known that the cops would fail him until it was already too late.

This is a very childish and unrealistic outlook. There is incredible selection bias with videos like this. Do you know cpr? Do you have wound closures in your vehicle? Would you defend a child or disabled person being beaten? Sometimes the police need to be called even though they're often bad at their jobs. They're often also the only lifeline some people have.
