Yes i tried, it is. It works perfectly at 18:09 walking in a meadow, with the end of a spliff in your hand. Ps, caught in the burst of Summer's ending sun.

We recorded this in Cincinnati in 2007. Amazing use of processing and audio plug-ins to achieve the sound of an old 78. Love it🎻

Oh wow, you’re one of the guys who played this? Can you elaborate on how to get this kind of sound? I was sure this was recorded by Django way long ago and I still struggle to believe it’s not lmao

@@arkhamparadise1319 I'm not the musician, but a fan. Paul P. is the fantastic violinist on this tune. Everything they play is dreamy...and you're right about Django...his spirit is carried on in this music.

@fudgepacker This song will be 100 years old next year, first recorded by the Isham Jones Orchestra. If you’re talking about this particular recording, this one was made in 2007 specifically for this game, it’s just made to sound older than it is.

Growing up, I would often be scared to sleep alone. I'd always sleep with the light on, I would be scared of little noises from the wind, and I was the only child in my family to feel this way. What made me comfortable was listening to music and being around my mother. On the special occasion of it being a really windy night or sleeping in a bed that wasn't my own, I would ask her to sing me this song and she would. Today I was going through some soundtracks on the Xbox 360 for a project I was working on and happened to stumble upon Bioshock. A game I haven't played but honestly has a super relaxing soundtrack. The moment this song turned on, everything started to come back. Going camping with my mom, taking a nap in the car on a super rainy day. Or spending a night at my Grandmas's house in the middle of the woods. The one thing I love about art is how they can recall memories you might have forgotten about and no other form of media does it better than video games ever will. What a special piece of work this is.

This song and La Mer I feel are Bioshock’s anthems. Nothing makes me think of gunning down splicers and hurling plasmids at big daddy’s quite like these two songs.

I've played bioshock when it first came out. I owned it then, and still play it. A remake/ sequel to the real original underwater game is what is needed.
