Wheres that little robot thing that sweeps up the bottom of the pool?..Kidding! Very nice..maybe the best I've seen on you tube. Still,if you are going to swim in it...why not use UV lights for making sure disease organisms are killed?
@jeydub85416 жыл бұрын
Because there are bacteria needed to compete with algae for O2. Otherwise your algae will be out of control.
@StanTheObserver-lo8rx6 жыл бұрын
Not sure about that..they are used in Aquariums all the time..never upset the filter bacteria or plants.

I'm not absolutely positive, Stan. But I do know that these pools rely upon good bacteria to compete with algae to keep the water clear. I've read opposing views on the UV lights, and we are seriously considering one of these pools. My search for knowledge continues.

IF some pool goes bad on you..UV would kill the blue green algae I believe. Something about gram negative bacteria and gram positive..the good guys filter,the bad guys are gray water,toxic blue greens. Something to explore. The pool above is gorgeous.

This is the only way to have a pool in my opinion. However, can they be heated at all? Perhaps radiant heat in the floor of the pool or geothermal heat of some sort? Or heating ran off of a solar unit?

I was thinking the same thing....can they be heated at all?
@anderskallstrom16353 жыл бұрын
They could. But they couldn’t reach more than 28C. Insulate bottom and sides to decrease heat loss to the ground. Also the regeneration zone absorb heat from the sun to the water.

I really like this sort of pool. My only concern is whether this is going to work in Western Australian conditions (prevalent problems with meningitis and other harmful microorganisms). Does anyone know anything about it? Cheers.

Ervin Nagy you can definitely do it in Australia I have built aquaponic system in Hawaii that basically did the same thing. The water was clean and my fish were happy and my plants thrived.
