I see your point, however I gotta mention that this longing isn't anything new. It's a trend that always returned in the course of history. For example the baroque era - with its quite unnatural way of landscape planning - was superseded by the Enlightenment, during which the english invented the really popular "english landscape garden". It originated from the idea of returning to a "natural" nature and not trying to control it like the landscape architects of the baroque era did. Since then it has always been a back and forth between landscape gardening trends. After some time the grass on the other side always looks greener i guess.

@@GuyWets-zy5yt 🙂 if I had such a beautiful garden, then at the very beginning, along with the hanging plants, I would have planted some large hanging fern on the walls on the left or right sides 🙄, or if there is a constant shadow, then you can put for example some Asplenium nidus in a pot on the ground or Asplenium wiminii, as they grow on trees and do not like too much watering and direct sunlight 🤔, and than on the opposite wall attach slightly smaller plants to create the illusion of depth and volume🙃, as on the paintings and there will be a beautiful Zen garden😇💫🧘‍♀️

지나가다 그냥 던지는 말입니다만 대나무는 땅밑에 벽을 쌓지 않았다면 밑으로 기는 뿌리를 감당하기가 쉽지 않을 듯… 대 잎은 심하게 낙엽이 쌓이므로 주변 이끼랑 조화가 어떨지 의문스럽네요.. 차라리 이끼랑은 펀이나 키 낮은 팜류 또는 브로멜리아드 종류가 어울릴 듯 한데요…

This is lovely, but I’m wondering about the mosquito population. We have an accidental moss section on the side of the house but the mosquitos are ridiculous. I live in an area that has a lot of mosquitos. Plus most of the typical houses in the states couldn’t handle this, just by the material that is used collects a lot of green algae on the siding. No lovely moss garden for us then, why can’t we have anything nice 😩.

Korea is the same. Moss lives only in the mountains. So I have to water it every day. Tap water often contains lime.
