Thank you. Q14 I don't understand why option 4 is wrong. I thought the shape of the substrate molecule affects the enzyme's specificity

It's a trick question. The active site of the enzyme is what determines its specificity not the shape of the substrate.

47:55 why isnt the answer base? For Q30 how can water pass through rings or spirals of lignin i thought lignin was waterproof

@@gabrielmensah6113 hi are you in A1 now? Best of luck for your exams! I just gave A2. Also for Q 30 he was correct water can pass through the rings/spiral cuz the entire vessel isnt lignified(there are some areas or gaps btw the rings where the water can pass) so yeah even though generally we believe that lignification means no water passing here is a special exemption. Hope that clears things!😊 also even if you watch the video do confirm the answer from the markscheme

It gives you an overall picture for how the test will be, but its not the same questions as the test.
