Thank you so very much for sharing. I love her coloring. Are you mixing all those colors to get the brown for the creases?

Hi. Thank you for sharing your techniques. In my country I can’t find genesis paints. Do you know how can I use air dry paints? What product I will need to seal the painting?
@MelissaFerrante3 жыл бұрын
Hi! You most definitely can use air dry paints, the only difference is you have to work faster due to them being air dry. To seal the paint you would still want to use a Matte Varnish at the end, most air dry paint brands have a varnish you can purchase. I hope this helps :)

What thinner do you use? I heard Linseed oil is good for reborning, but I would like a preference for it

Is this part 1 for the biracial please want to try this dont know witch is part one and where to start im from south africa
@MelissaFerrante3 жыл бұрын
Yes this would be Part 1 UNLESS you need to neutralize the vinyl, in that case follow my Neutralizing video and then this video :)

can I do these same steps with air dry paints?
@julienichole._2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Just try to match colors or make your own. And don’t forget to mix distill water and a drop of primer or (folk art glass and tile medium) with every single paint mixture so it actually stick to the vinyl

Did you neutralize for biracial ?
@MelissaFerrante3 жыл бұрын
It honestly all depends on the vinyl of your kit and the finished skin tone result you’re looking for. In this case I didn’t neutralize as the vinyl was an okay color for me to work on

Why no veins?
@MelissaFerrante3 жыл бұрын
With any kind of darker skin toned reborns veins are a later step after a few skin layers. This way they stay visible and appear underneath the skin. if you put veins on first like a Caucasian doll there may be too many layers and they will barely be visible.

Those paints are expensive
@MelissaFerrante3 жыл бұрын
This whole hobby is expensive, it's not for everyone. But also there are many different suppliers you can purchase from with different pricing; the best thing about paints in this hobby is they typically last awhile so in my opinion it's moneys worth
