Birbs' Surprising Reactions to Seeing a Real Baby Birb

It was my cockatiels' first time to see a real baby cockatiel. They might think it's a toy or something because the baby didn't move a bit. But what they did to the baby is so surprising. Thanks my neighbour Teresa for her new born baby cockatiel Emily!

G'day! We're from Australia with 3 native cockatiels.
Ana: Female, DOB 27/09/2020
Ana was a grey pearl cockatiel and she was bald as she was abused by her parents before she's 3 weeks old. She's timid and can be easily scared.
Lemon: Male, DOB 29/10/2020
Lemon is a pied lutino cockatiel with grey pattern on the right wing. Lemon is naughty and lively. He can't leave people even for one moment, he is unable to stay in the cage for too long.
Quishna: Sex Unknown DOB 07/12/2020
Quishna is a pied lutino as well with grey pattern on the left wing. Quishna is the youngest one and he/she is smart and proud - never allow people to touch but he / she is gradually becoming the lead of the 3.
We live as a family, eat and play together!

I think it's just a random bird thing, my brother has 2, and one like to stay slightly puffed, while the other doesn't puff up ever. both are completely healthy, and have no other problems they're just as weird and random as other birds.

It is very important to trim their nails to prevent health issues. i do it about once a month but it depends on how quickly the nails grow. they should be short enough so that their feet can lay down on a flat surface without the toes bending.

Aww I’m glad the adults were sweet! With chickens, you have to be very careful introducing new members to a flock, especially younger or smaller ones, since they have very strict hierarchies.

Very true, as an owner of 3 flocks. When we introduce the new chooks to our flock, we keep them in a separate fenced off area in away that they can still interact. After a few weeks, we let them explore and meet the rest of our chickens. It works for every flock that I have owned.
