I've been chatting with a guy on Reddit from Texas who works at a very large chicken farm and he said that one of their policies is to randomly check so many wild geese that fly through their area every month or something like that and they've already had several geese come up positive for the flu. He said they tried to report this to different agencies in Texas and nobody wants to listen to it and has basically told them to keep it to themselves. I live in central Indiana. Our local media says there have been about 100 cases of bird flu in water fowl here. Plus a commercial egg production facility was hit with the bird flu. Eggs aren’t going to be just costly, they’re going to disappear. We’re going to have to communicate information like this between us in these spaces. In Libby’s space and elsewhere. FYI everyone: Private hospitals and medical universities are doing their own research. In the US, the Mayo Clinic is highly regarded and I just looked at their site under Research and searched Bird Flu. There are several articles. It is quite daunting. Having your flu vaccine helps, signs and symptoms in humans is similar to other flu strains. Way, way more info on that page. Can also look at Johns Hopkins, NYU Langone, Boston Hospital. And so many more. I usually start with the Mayo Clinic since they are non-profit but that's just me. Bottom line: info is out there!

In April, 2020, I saw research done on materials that kept the virus particles at bay. Short of N95 masks, the blue shop towels worked the best. I am blessed to live in a blue region of the US, New England. Our state has been vigilant with testing deceased birds found around the area. Bird Flu is here. My hubby and I both have asthma, so viruses tend to land in our lungs. Since Cov19, I've taken to doing "curbside pick-up" for any store that participates, just to reduce my chances of bringing something home. Venting your home, even in these low temps many of us are experiencing, is also a great way to reduce viral load and increase O2 in your surroundings, which helps maintain your health. As a former dental hygienist, I am a big proponent of disinfectant spray, which I spray in the air of the room I then vent. I understand many can't/don't like to use it, so an air filter is also very helpful. Also, my in-laws are in their early 90's and I do not wish to bring an illness to their home. I live in Arkansas and we had an outbreak in the chicken population. We are chicken 🐔 country here. Several chicken farms that supply poultry packing plant my son works at. Thanks. Miss Libby. I just watched a movie on TCM called The Mortal Storm, made in 1940. It was very good in capturing 1930s Germany as people rejoiced when Hitler became chancellor. As the movie continues, the attitudes of the people and the Nazi party platform begin to show the divisiveness within the country and the alarm when people start to disappear and others try to escape the country. It was certainly relevant for us today.

They are the two hardest numbers to live under and I know because both my name and my birthdate are 22. He deserves the pain of being an 11. It always bothered me that Kamala might be that number. For those unaware, you can freeze uncooked scrambled eggs. Once defrosted, you can cook them just like you would scrambled or in an omelette. They are also fine for baking. Crack a bunch of eggs into a bowl, using a mixer or immersion blender (or even use your regular blender) mix them up really well. One egg is approximately 1/4 cup. I place them in 1 cup portions in ziplock baggies, lay flat on a cookie sheet/tray and freeze. When frozen you can stack them in the freezer and defrost as needed. I've also seen people freezing them in 1/4c or 1/2 cup servings in a silicone muffin pan, then popping them out and storing in a ziplock. (FYI you can find powdered eggs which store well, too) Blessings to all💕💕

You can also substitute a "flax egg" in baking. It is 1 Tbl ground flax seed/flax meal to 3 Tbl water, let it set 5 minutes to gel, then use like an egg. You can't taste the flax.
