It's actually really tasty. But that's because it often includes cream. I had it regularly when I was a kid in the 1970s. Unfortunately, it's very dangerous right now if you don't know EXACTLY how it's collected, transported and sold. Besides the H5N1 and e-coli contamination risk, almost all farms employ migrant workers from countries with high rates of TB and Hep C. If you didn't watch the farmer sterilize the equipment and milk the cow, then hand you the milk fresh from Bessie, it's not safe.

Before pastuerization of food was widely adopted, we lost about 30% of our population before the age of 30. But sure. Have fun with the tuberculosis, anthrax, e-coli, smallpox, Hep C, and typhus. Our food (including milk), is no longer produced by single families who sell directly to your home. It passes through literally hundreds of hands, many of whom don't wash thoroughly after using the bathroom. And many come from countries that don't control food-bourne illness as well as the US does.

If we have adequate testing for food products like we should have there should be no contanimations in our food supply . Its not the milk its the food producers and packagers . Crazy how hundreds of thousands of pounds of food gets recalled . Isnt there some kind of testing that shoild be done befoe its sold to people to make sure its not contaminated? This goes for all foods not just milk

A lot of food comes from California. It's just corporate agriculture in general. It's Sacramento who okay'd the sale of raw milk in stores. I didn't even realize it WAS legal anywhere. That's bonkers.
