Looks like you had a great time in Oregon, as an Oregon native I can tell you this, the separate bath is more common in the historical areas. The round shower was likely put in when showering became the thing, and they likely didn't have room for a full stall. My grandma, my aunt, and my in laws all own houses with a divider wall between bathing area and toilet area and all their houses were built before 1900. I hope you got to try our marionberries a berry you will typically find only in Oregon. Hope you'll be back, our state is one of the most gorgeous and if you love the outdoors you can appreciate it. I live in Salem right now, and we have a nesting duo of bald eagles across the river from us. When we canceled the firework show over the river they came and settled in and rather than scaring them off our city council moved it the show to the fair ground. So it's fun to take the dog for a walk across the river and take a lunch and wait to see if you can see a white spec in the trees or one coming to get lunch.

You guys make such relaxing birding videos, with plenty of information to boot. Always look forward for some Badgerland Birding at the end of a long day of work, university, and even birding by myself.

Easily my favourite Badgerland Birding video! Love that you included the fruit review and tour of the room. Looking forward to part 2, boys!

A few month back there was a cougar spotted on Haystack rock. Probably a once in a lifetime event though.

I busted up giggling when Derek was all "I...HOPE the telescope is for looking at birds on Cannon Beach!" I recall the first video where y'all summarized this part of your trip and I'm really looking forward to Day Two!!!

I’ll add this location to my list! Just finished my 1st year of Birding, nearly exclusively in Arkansas - I’m hooked! I plan to bird out-of-state throughout this next year - would love any pro-tips for choosing destinations, keeping costs down, etc! Holler if you come through Arkansas and I would be happy to help or host!

Cannon Beach is a great place to go! Though I like Seaside better as a town. Did you go to Ecola State Park, the long jut of land between those towns?

Sure did! We like to make the videos about a specific species or place, but also do a more vlog style which normally covers everything we did in a day as well as some goofier moments we don't include in the other videos.

"Hopefully it's not haunted." 😂That's the most hilarious thing I've heard all day, although the quick change from a smile to a serious look played a role in the amusement too. I really need to go to Haystack Rock the next time I'm in Oregon.
