Dear James, my dad is passionate about birding and will be visiting me the first week of November, here in Singapore. He doesn't speak English so I'm asking this on his behalf. Do you think he has some good chances to see the Pitta during the first week of November on Ubin? He also asked if you know where to find other Pitta, than the Mangrove Pitta, in Singapore in November? Thank you so much for your time

The Mangrove Pitta is a resident bird at Pulau Ubin and I am not too sure if it is still at Pasir Ris. So the best bet would be to go to Ketam Mangrove at Ubin. November might be a bit too early for the other migratory Pittas:- Blue-winged, the Hooded Pitta and the Fairy Pitta. I suggest you follow some of the local blogs like Singapore Birders or Singapore Birds Project where they will update new sightings.
