18:27 - sheer luxury! Thank you for the video - really interesting and very clear this was a big trip with plenty of really nice birds to see. Culturally, I cringed at the pictures of slavery on the wall at 16:10 Human beings really can be the worse of all creatures.

I’ve been to Gambia a few times and visited some of the places you show in the video. Going again in March 2024, will be doing North Bank sites for the first time. Your video is the best I have seen on You Tube and made me look forward to my trip. I must say, after my last visit, last November, I didn’t see nearly as many species as you managed. Our guide Ansu Jawara, (Professor) was saying that the birding is harder now than it was back when you visited on these videos. Thanks for a great video. Oh, great music taste too, All Mod Cons, my favourite Jam album😊

Thanks so much for your comments! This is what my channel is all about. Sharing trip reports and stories in hope that it might help someone. I hope you have a fantastic time back in the Gambia. I am sure you’ll see a few more species in that area. I see your a Clash fan. They were just an incredible band, I went to the book launch of Punk Rock Warlord in Shepherds Bush and met Ray Gange of Rude Boy! Brilliant night. Thanks again for your kind words. 👍
