Thank you so much Nicola.... I'm glad you enjoyed it. I am back at the land now planning how to make my hides and improve these water pools, but unfortunately my dirt track to this pool has been washed away by flash floods, so I will have to get a digger back in next month once the rainy season has finished. All fun and games! We just explored the land in the night and saw a leopard cat.... very exciting.

That’s ok , The flash floods sound a bit scary, how many days do they last for?
@thailandwild4897 Жыл бұрын
Well... it came rush down from the National Park through the normal streams, but of course they can't take the volume and overflow.... for a few hours or a day then subside, and that might happen once every few years, but the problem we have had this year is that the streams are so full that they can fill and overflow again easily. Today we thought it was all over, but as I write this it is lashing down again and some of my power has gone off.... I was up on a cliff in some caves only about two hours ago.... lucky I got down before this storm or we would have to have slept up there. Nothing to worry about though, around here we make our home up on the hills. @@nicolabrownlee5493

Hello Darryl,great to see all those different birds who came to your pool and during the time more of them will visit this i guess.Greetings Gijs

Hello Gijs, nice to hear from you. Yes, I was delighted with the wildlife that came to the pool in the first year. Yesterday, I remade Turtle Pool and used some colour with the concrete to make it look like a natural structure. I will redo Rocky Pool in the next few weeks, and actually make two pools there, one above the other. I want to see if larger animals will use the bigger pool, especially mammals at night. I hope all is well with you.

I have been missing seeing you videos and was hoping you came back with your beautiful videos. The last one I think was when the lizard was laying her clutch and I asked that we might see them hatch. But that's okay I love seeing your content. So beautiful 🤗😘

Oh yes… I’m afraid that I didn’t see them hatch. I did go to check two times and the soil looked these same as before, but it is difficult to tell with all the rain we have had recently. I am just driving back to this conservation project now, and hope I can film some nice stuff in the next few days.

Nice spot.. great place.. open to visit??
@thailandwild4897 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I plan to make 2-3 hides this winter and if they are working well by around New Year I plan to open them up for visitors. In due course I hope to have 4-5 bird hides at different locations and 1-2 mammal watching hides.

Thank you so much. That is very kind. I hope to have some hides open for photographers and bird watchers after New Year.

@@thailandwild4897. Much hard work is still required. Since having my own garden hide, I have learned alot about what makes a productive hide. Careful arrangement of the props, careful concealment all none natural materials and food items. Best position of the hide for early morning shooting. So on and so on.... much to consider.
