Those are called Red wing black bird.I can tell by the chirps,pluss it had red mark on its wings.Very aggressive spices.We have them everywhere in the USA.

I think these birds learned that people's hair is very good nest building material. The one time I was attacked it was a blue Jay. It pulled a good size piece of my hair out and flew up to it's nest. I was really careful and wore a hat where that bird was after. I think my red hair may have attracted it because it only attacked me.

The nest maybe fell on the ground a few feet away. But with the number of people that walk past that point every day, they will not have time to hunt to feed the chicks since they have to be constantly on the defensive.

I think I know where this is being filmed. It's located in Toronto near the Harbourfront area. There is a ferry ⛴ boat on the mainland of Toronto that takes you to an island from the Harbourfront over lake Ontario. If you see the video, You'll notice trees on the other side of the lake - that's Center Island.

Ah the good ol red winged black birds. As soon as I saw the thumbnail of this video, I knew what kind of birds they were. Lol its worse because, these are migratory birds and if you harmed them, you get 5 years prison and fine due to the wild life act, and also they have been visiting these spots for 10000s of years every year, like its a natural cycle. What's worse is, if you just got away from one spot, each male bird overs a certain spot, from this tree to that tree as territory, guarding the eggs. So when one bird chases you, and you escape you enter the territory of the next one, and that one takes over. You can't catch a break. lol They usually just attack from behind and mostly its mock scare. Not serious attack.

The birds are doing this because their chicks are getting ready to make their first flight and they want to give them the best chances for survival, if you ever get in a situation like this make space or call animal protection so they close the area, this is incredibly stressful for the parents!

I was attacked by a pigeon while I was sitting in my boyfriend's backyard 40 years ago. They were living and nesting in the yard. My boyfriend said he never saw anything like that before. Needless to say, I'm not a fan of large birds. I'm still afraid of them to this day.
