Loui, you should check out the Great Ocean Road, it is an amazing road and there is heaps of bush, so that might also be a nice place to do your survival thing

I was in Australia in August and did Great Ocean Road while I was in Melbourne. There was this one area we stopped off on the way back during a detour and found cockatoos that were tame like that :) these French guys were pissing about with them and one got bit and bled on his ear which looked pretty nasty so I kept my distance. We found those red and blue parakeets(?) as well and although they were a lot shyer I managed to hand feed a couple with some seeds I found that they'd obviously been eating :) Made me miss my conure at home! I only managed 3 weeks in Aussie but I'm definitely planning on going back for longer, it's amazing.
