I had the privilege of seeing Birds of Chicago live last week. This is one of those few bands that stops you in your tracks when you see them live. They're obviously crazy-talented, but the energy and passion in their performance really grabs a hold of you. Beautiful and inspiring music.

I had the privilege of seeing Birds of Chicago in an earlier incarnation, Po' Girl. They were part of a music series in San Diego at a place called AMSD (Acoustic Music San Diego) held in a 90 year old church. There were 64 people in the audience. They were amazing and played as if there were 200 watching. It was, for lack of a better description, mesmerizing.
