Although overall this is a very good summary, I think including the story for the Binding Coils of Bahamut is pretty important to the overall story of post-ARR, and a lot of players miss out on it due to its difficulty. Including it within this video would have been helpful.

The Crystal Tower used to be optional but now it has become mandatory due to its significance later in the story. Also, glad you like what we do! We also have recaps for Heavensward and Stormblood with Shadowbringers and Endwalker on the way.

I’m excited to watch this, I really only played this Final Fantasy for about a month or 2, back on PS3, since then I haven’t been able to play cause I can’t seem to log on again. I’ve tried on PS4 multiple times, but it always seems to send me to the Square page that just doesn’t seem to work for me.

You need to log in to The Mogsation webpage with a Square Enix account (sounds like you forgot your credentials, ask for a pass. reset?). After logging in you can manage/pay your subscription there.

@@BirdsOfPlay thanks for making this, when laid out like this, i can see the vision of the dev (the time crucnhed and overworked dev), unlike the world in the game itself, still dealing with aftermath of calamity that is the mess of 1.0. its a decent 'humble beginning' story, and doing it the first time it doesnt bother me since it's like every old jrpg i played before, and im used to that. playing it second time tho, it definitely shows its age, and how frustrating it is to be ping-ponged between fetch quest hahaha

Where's the part of the story where anytime anyone is discussing world of warcraft FFXIV players have to interrupt angrily and try to spin a weird victimhood narrative that doesnt make any sense? I assume its a cannon thing since 90% of the player base does it? Edit: Before "that's just your opinion, nobody does that." Nerdslayer, who is a long time backer of both games, calls it out in his own video as well.
