A wonderful picturesque place. But I am a little wary of the houses located on the steep slopes of the hills. I wonder how stable and earthquake-resistant are the rocks there?

Yes, I agree. The homes always look a little perilous! But I’m sure they have to meet stringent engineering standards. 🤞

@@LocaleStory I am also sure that over all the years since people have lived here, this landscape has been very well explored geologically and seismically. I think there is no reason to be afraid if all building regulations and environmental conditions are followed. Economy and weapons can do much more damage to cities than nature does. Sorry to end on a less than positive note:)
