⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ You are the only channel anyone needs to watch when I see your toys I just want to shred them myself and look for possible food in them (I don’t know why I have that instinct) Oh and I love when Dave smiles in masterclasses because I like to think he’s thinking of a joke thats either going to interrupt the conversation or is inappropriate

If Clyde only knew how lucky he is to have you as his teacher, hopefully in time. Blue is pretty determined, maybe somewhere down the line they can be friends. Thanks Jamie for the update, hang in there.

I had a budgie hen that beat up a cockatiel hen really bad before first time they met before I was able to interfere. But after they had established the pecking order, that my budgie was the alpha female, they became really good friends.

Many cockatiels have reached a ripe old age, 25 -30 yrs. They were all fed pretty much straight small seed, as in the wild. There is not one speck of wet foods like veggies out where they come from. Nothing like many other species, conures etc.

Went into our local PetCo last week and there was a bonded pair of Cockatiels (M and F) that had just been surrendered as their owner was 16 years old and was in way over her head. They were so scared, they were on a HORRID diet and their tails were clipped!!! It took everything I had not take them home with me right then and there, but I was worried our Princess, Phoebe (Cockatiel) would not appreciate additions to her flock as she is our only bird and always has been. I was talking to one of the employees about them and begged her to recommend all things BirdTricks to whomever adopted them and then left the store with tears in my eyes. My hubby was there Monday getting our Husky groomed and he said they were no longer there, so I hope whoever did adopt them gives them a much better life.

Hope They got a good home wherever they went. I reccomended Birdtricks in a local petstore here in Norway a few weeks ago. They had a bird that actually was trained instore. She was such a cutie.They Even trained freeflight. The girl would most likely get her when she moved houses.

How about a cage for him to sleep in rather than a backpack? Eddie loves sleeping in his loft or in one of his cups. I think Clyde will wake up much happier if he’s sleeping in a cage!

I have a 20 year old golden capped conure, do you recommend a parakeet to be around her?
@lizziehn5928
@lizziehn5928 Жыл бұрын
Conures and budgies can often be aggressive with each other since they have different beak sizes and behaviors. I have seen it work out, but definitely have a backup plan in case your gold-cap ends up hating your budgie (assuming you are planning on getting a budgie).

Can i use your dry tiel seed mix for green cheeks
@lizziehn5928
@lizziehn5928 Жыл бұрын
Yes, but I wouldn't feed quite as much since green cheeks don't naturally eat a whole lot of seed compared to ground-foraging species like cockatiels and budgies.

Why not just get mash & not grind up pellets? Or whatever you buy does not come in the mash form like Harrison's. You have many more birds, so you have your own system 8t looks like. I only have 1 Lovebird. I at first bought 9rlkets. The plastic bowl, my first & another one I had took the white plastic dish off the cage wall & it had water 5hen, my birds poured the water into 5he pellets to make it moist. My first day with one I had bought, I set it up on purpose to see what he would do. Papagai, a male Lovebird did the same thing,bthe first day, pour water in his pellets. I was impressed that they were so sry to figure that out. Padgi figured it out the first day. I was so proud. I now 0ut water in ceramic bowls. I usually have them on the floor. Sometimes on the side of 5h3 cage. A large box I do not see at Petco now, I have a mini plastic bowl for dry food that goes in it. It may be used by hamsters. I think it looks like a dog bowl, very tiny. I put it in another ceramic bowl that fits snug. It gives my Lovebird more room . I have not tried to use a clicker yet. My bird is very tame & follows me like a puppy on my shoulder or head. They are much fun to have. They take 9ff so fast, then can fly back in a few seconds. Much fun to have a bird. I am not sure I will ever have a bigger bird. I have had mostly Lovebirds. I like the colorings. Peachface is gentaler. I have learned to be more calm. Never say ouch if they bite. I learned that long ago. Padgi used to hire my ear daily. Little rascal. It was like a game for him. White with sky blue wings, grey head. Two birds got sick from the Rosie Bourke. I did not know it was not well. When I saw ehY 8t was on Facebook. Bumbleroit. I put him down. I gave the 2 Lovebirds Colidial silver in their water for 10 days. I skipped an evening. The two died by morning. Such a painful lesson. A friend used Colidial silver for his cockatiels who had mold on their wings. He only cleaned cage 1 time a week. I clean the cage 1 58me a day & night travel bag. Small cats can travel in it. It gets chilly & it's easier to keep warm at night. I have used that type of night travel bag since I got my now bird. He is eager to go in. He has a cataract on one eye. I have had him the longest. He is still flying ok.. I am not sure if it was from a light he used to sit next to. I did not know until recently & they say , small birds they usually do not do cataract surgery. Y3 8s only 5 years old. He was 1 year when I got him. He is the most responsive bird I have ever had. He will chirp if He is in my apt. I want to know where he is. Such a sweet bird. Thank you for reading. Happy Flight Trails. 😂

Generally you will have the best luck before you change out their food, so mornings tend to be pretty good for training. It depends on the bird though! Each one is different and will show better results in different conditions.

Love your vids but isn't it dangerous to put different species of birds together like that?
@lizziehn5928
@lizziehn5928 Жыл бұрын
For cockatiels and budgies, it typically isn't dangerous because they have a very similar beak size. Budgies can bully cockatiels at times, but of course it depends on the pair.
