I watched TFIOS today and all I can say is wow! Who ever said men don't cry or show emotion are lying. My eyes were flooded with tears strolling down my face. The film puts life into perspective. Those of us who live a pain free life are so god damn lucky compared to those around us who are suffering from terminal illnesses. To those unfortunate who lost their battles, may you forever rest in peace with those angels. My heart and soul goes out to you and your families x

I knew Birdy since I was in junior high and Not About Angels is one of her songs that feels like shelter to my soul. It is a sad song indeed, but I always feel safe crying to it... even more after I lost my father two weeks ago. I still feel like the world beats me down every now and then, but dear Papa, your tough and careless exterior will never hide the fact what an angel-hearted human you are. This song helps so much with my depression and the lyrics are so meaningful and when I am happy I love the music but when my depression is at it's worst i understand the lyrics. It makes me feel that i want to break free of depression it doesn't minimise my strength like it does it makes me want to fight off all the people who are horrible fight off anything that harms the people closest and furthest away from me. It makes me feel alive and ready to wake up from this dream but most of all it makes me stop thinking about death by just one song it's changed my opinion of myself. And whenever I listen to this or any of Birdy's songs I feel better and more self-confident. I know hardly anyone will read this as it is very long but this is my opinion about this song so Thank you x

She battled SLE for 2 years, then on her birthday she passed away.. on the afternoon of her birthday, I've texted her to greet her birthday and how much strong of a person she was. But it was too late. This song always reminds the time I spent with her. We always had the best time together. She always wanted to know the ending for Steven Universe.. She even came up with plot twists which most of them turned out to be right!! I love her and I missed her and but I will always have her memories with me.
