This song is so beautiful written and it’s lyrics paint a story for me. It’s two weeks ago now that I buried my mother who lost her battle with cancer, she was 47. The line ‘it’s not giving up, it’s letting go, and moving to a better place’ is just how I describe her passing. And the lines ‘I will survive and be the one who’s stronger, I will not beg you to stay, I will move on and you should no I mean it, wild horses run in me’ describe both our journeys together through this and I have this beautiful song with me. It was only fitting that we played this version at her funeral and I have to thank Birdy for writing and performing such a beautiful song. Thank you.

Shit, I have never been jealous of anything or anyone my whole life but an ounce of that talent please. Dont need fame dont want it nor fortune, I consider myself richer than most alredy I have little in money but lots in life, with 4 kids 3 beautiful daughters and a extremely intelligent son who is gifted with the ability to make you laugh even on your worst days an amazing wife that's been though the mill to hold us all together and still finds time to study at uni so I'm already lucky enough. Just an ounce of that talent and I would be singing in the street just to make people's bad days that little bit more bearable.
