I watched TFIOS today and all I can say is wow! Who ever said men don't cry or show emotion are lying. My eyes were flooded with tears strolling down my face. The film puts life into perspective. Those of us who live a pain free life are so god damn lucky compared to those around us who are suffering from terminal illnesses. Whenever I listen to this song I get an overwhelming feeling of sadness and loss. It's like my stomach just drops, I watched TFIOS on Tuesday I've never cried so much in my life, it was so painful to watch; if I were to have my heart ripped out my chest and torn that wouldn't even scratch the surface of how I felt. I still feel so sad; this song was played at such a painful heart-wrenching time. I was choking on my tears, they loved each other so much, it's so horrible to see the happiness fade to devastation and heartbreak, I will never be able to comphrehend just how TFIOS made me feel, I always get these vivid flashbacks, I keep reading the book and watching videos of it, everytime I do, it's like my eyes just dilate and the memories hit me, its like my breath hitches in my throat, and I just breakdoen. No matter how many times I watch clips, read the book, listen to the soundtrack and watch the movie. It will never stop the feeling it gives me, it gives me all the most possible feelings I could ever imagine. Words are limited, so trying to explain how TFIOS makes me feel is impossible, its a feeling that can only be felt. It's a tragically, heartbreaking but beautiful story, that ends with a excruciating loss. when TFIOS Comes out on DVD I will watch it as many times as I humanly possibly can. I will probably choke on my tears, and won't stop crying like I did when I watched and read it. The quote in TFIOS: "That's the thing about pain, it demands to be felt" this is literally the best way to describe TFIOS. It's something I will never be able to get over, it goes to show happiness only ends in sadness, and forever is only limited to however long life decides to let you live.

Omg finally someone who understands. I can't stop thinking about it I watched it last Saturday and I'm in the middle of the book, when she walked up in the middle of the night and goes to the hospital. I can't get past the fact. They were so cute. He was like my literal virtual boyfriend. I didn't even bring tissues so I cried all over my friends shoulder literally but she returned the favor. It's so upsetting they aren't having a part two because it would be my life. John Green is my Peter Van Houten expect he's not a total jerk. I honestly, honestly can't get over it, it haunts me. This song is a connection to him. I love it so much, my friend at dance got a duet with my other friend with this song and I can't explain how jealous i was. Lol. This song is a path into agustus's grave so we can revisit him. Only real tfios fans know how much this song means...

If I may add something, I think you are mistaken... I mean, Gus's death was heartbreaking, but I believe that the book and movie celebrate life. It's not there to show that happiness ends in sadness, it's there to show how much life and happiness can mean EVEN when it is so short: it is a "little infinity". And yes it hurts, but the message - I believe - is a positive one. "You can live with pain." And remember the "it was a privilede to love him"? It IS a privilege to live, and love, and be as happy as they were. It is not a book (or movie) about cancer; it is not a book/movie about death, pain, or negativity. It celebrates life, and joy, and happiness, in a very human and realistic way, which is why it resonates so deep; because it is so true. I hope my comment was of some help! Love :)

Same here. I don't think we ever heal from our husbands and wives. Only one's who knew really knew us.. those moments no one else sees but them.. the broken version of ourselves that they try to fix. No comfort in my world anymore. Only know pain. It doesn't get easier we just learn to live without them and hold onto hope of being with them again. What I would do for one day of being him.

This song helps so much with my depression and the lyrics are so meaningful and when I am happy I love the music but when my depression is at it's worst i understand the lyrics. It makes me feel that i want to break free of depression it doesn't minimise my strength like it does it makes me want to fight off all the people who are horrible fight off anything that harms the people closest and furthest away from me. It makes me feel alive and ready to wake up from this dream but most of all it makes me stop thinking about death by just one song it's changed my opinion of myself. And whenever I listen to this or any of Birdy's songs I feel better and more self-confident. I know hardly anyone will read this as it is very long but this is my opinion about this song so Thank you x
