I feel we have much more in common than we have differences! God made us all and we are brothers and sisters because of that. If I understand it correctly, the God of Abraham is one God. Maybe you can help me with something. Do you worship the God of Abraham and call Him Allah? If so, we call Him Yahweh. Could it be we worship the same entity we call God? And tho we may perceive Him differently, Abraham to my knowledge only worshiped one God. It is also my understanding, and maybe you can help me again. I read that Mohammed descended from Abraham's son Ishmael, and that Jesus descended from Isaac. Again making us brothers and sisters. And in the end, we are all just people trying to get along with each other in this life. I love all people for that reason but also because Jesus told us to. All that said to say this, I think it is OK for us to find comfort in the same songs and yes, we should be kind and compassionate to all. Have a blessed day!

If you go back and read just the old testament, you will find that there were some things God ordered that weren't terribly kind and compassionate, say, to Canaan for example. So if we "cherry pick" the Bible we can find examples also of times that weren't compassionate. But Jesus taught us a better way. I'm sure both the Quran and the Bible have examples of both. I personally try to follow Jesus teachings and His message generally speaks of love and caring for our fellow man. I am not an expert on the Quran so I'm not as well versed in that text. But I do know that Isaac and Ishmael had the same father, Abraham, and indeed that makes us all "kin". Religion has been so politicized that I don't automatically believe everything I am told that is negative about others beliefs since I have not been raised as they were raised. I do know that there is a lot of propaganda that is put out there on both sides trying to divide us. So I try to be understanding of others as I want them to be understanding of me. That's all I'm trying to get across in my songs and my talks. We don't have to agree with others belief necessarily but we can still love them and be friends. That's my way of looking at it anyway. I try to "love my neighbor" regardless of color, nationality or religion. If they return it, how wonderful. If they don't, they have to answer for that, not me. Hopefully you can see what I'm trying to say. I'm a bit worn out with politics and "religiosity" dividing us. I love all people and thus I try to befriend whoever wishes to be my friend regardless.

And whoever is an ally to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people. Quran 98:6 (98:6) Those who disbelieved - be they from among the People of the Book ( Christians and Jews) or among those who associated others with Allah in His Divinity ( Pagans) - shall be in the Fire, and will abide in it. They are the worst of creatures. We are called the worst of creatures, sir.....109 verses in the quran orders Muslims into violence against people who have another religion. Be careful.....

When I was a child going to church and if I was having a bad morning and when the choir started to sing this song in church it would always cheer me up and change my day and week going to school. I love the older church music and it always makes my day brighter and more cheerful if I’m having a little bit of a ruff day it always cheers me up. I believe in Jesus and in heaven. My most favorite Bible verse is John 3:16 and I have remembered that verse for 30 or going on 31 years now. I wish blessing and I pray to everyone to have a wonderful and blessed day and to keep faith in our lord Jesus that died on the cross for all of our sins and ross on the 3rd day and assented into heaven. My church sings this at least once a month. This and all the good old hymns is what we've old time Pentecostal believers be singing at our Saturday Night singing Jubilee every Saturday night. The young ones get a chance to get on stage and sing there favorite songs as well. No beat or rock just good old banjo guitar, mandolin, piano and alot of talent and love for Jesus Christ who we love so dear. You've never been to "Church" till you've had a real experience with Jesus and His love.

This song reminds me of my dad who had left us on 8 July 2009. At that moment I thought that I lost my dad. But in reality he is in our native place waiting for me, and I'm sure that I'm going to meet him again. We part in tear on Earth, we set our tear to say 'Good Bye' to our lovers and lips to have a last kiss, but when we reach the beautiful Shore prepared by Jesus for us, all our sorrow, sadness and tear will turn into happiness. Joy and satisfaction will flow like a fountain, and we will never say 'Good Bye' to our dearest ones. 🙏Thank you Jesus for making such everlasting beautiful place for us.......
