I haven’t heard this song in years. My husband and I used to sing it all the time; on our way to church and anywhere else we went. Our 3 children would sometimes sing it with us. Better times back then!! We’re old now and our babies are grown with babies of their own but looking back, it seems like yesterday.😢 Yes Sweet Jesus please hold our hand and our children and grandchildren! We’re going to soon be Home with our Savior and oh, what a day that will be!!!🙌 I’ve never been this homesick before; this old world is not our Home. BirdYoumans , Thank you so much; I really appreciate it! Nowadays in the churches, they cater to the young people; which is good, but we still prefer the old time Gospel songs. It’s as if we’ve entered a new era in time and quite frankly, we don’t always understand the music. You know God changes not and if our style of music created an atmosphere of worship and praise, why change it? If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it!!! I really miss our style. We Pastored a church for many years and me, my husband, my younger brother and our 2 sons sang and played the instruments for our church. We sang the old hymns and a lot of southern gospel and our church would really worship God. I miss that!! I say to allow a song or 2 for the young people but to also consider us older people which know how to praise God with our style of music! I look forward to Friday night and pray God really blesses the singing, music and fellowship! God bless you and please continue to minister with your beautiful songs. This song has touched a place in my hart, I just turned 35 and have recently been suffering from a back injury and this song has help me through some tough times in the last few days but this song also reminds me of my grandparents that have passed as we would have family reunions in TN every years and the family was full of musicians and this was one of my favorites to hear my grandma play 😢 I miss them dearly but I know where they are. I'd like to share some of my testimony with you. 17 months ago, I took a bite of food & couldn't swallow it. I called a Dr, & then talking w/ a friend, he suggested I read PSALM 91, while eating. I read silently to myself, & shoveled a bite in, chewing w/ my lips closed. The food went down & in 10 days I had memorized Psalm 91, 😀!!!! A thought came to me, to stop taking acid reducer pills, so I did, then the last week of November 2023, I had the Heartburn, I grabbed tums, & a thought came to me Psalm 91. I smiled & quoted Psalm 91 silently to myself, before I got to verse 16, Heartburn was gone. I haven't taken either acid reducer pills or tums since Nov 2023. I want to PRAISE, WORSHIP AND GLORIFY OUR HEAVENLY FATHER GOD IN JESUS CHRIST MIGHTY NAME & THANK HIM FOR HELPING ME!!!!!!
