Excellent explanation! Just a small detail-the arrows in the small loop for the differential mode in the lower path should be reversed (they are still as in the common mode). Thank you for the great content!

indeed there video series is really the best and highest quality I have seen since. It is very much practical oriented and had helped me to make a better filter for a three phase SVPWM FOC inverter.

Thank you for posting this video it straightened up some doubts about my knowledge of the differences between common mode and differential common mode chokes.

you immediately went into the part I was unclear about/wanting to know more about (net flux), thanks!

Very nice and clear explanation. Thanks. But why are they used at the mains entry point of almost every household appliance? What is it intended to stop (choke, or filter out)?

Thanks for this video. Do you have a session on the drawing shown @ 5:00?

I love your videos, but at the end of this one, you show the y capacitors between the common mode and leakage inductance. I guess you did this to make it look exactly the same as if there were separate common mode and differential filters, but wouldn't it be more correct to have the leakage inductance right after (or before) the common mode inductance and the y-capacitors outside rather than between them? A SPICE simulation shows the two cases are significantly different with 1% leakage inductance...

Common mode choke - flux will cancel each other, correct? Common mode choke won’t be saturated. A little stray magnetic flux will slightly attenuated the main filter circuit. Any thought?

Good evening, but does this choke also work on an antenna with multiple bands? 3-element 3-band directive type? What mix do you recommend to use 43 or 31? Very interesting your video. 73 de Giorgio
