Small update: since filming this I added a little White Lightening surfactant to the BPC ink my fountain pen and that did help it write and look nicer. Still would recommend the DA ones, though.

Love the comment, “I don’t have to make grand concluding statements!” Haha, no you don’t but thanks for this experimentation on camera. Off to get some De Atrementis to start down this mixing-inks road. Wish me luck! 😆 (plus, decided to use the Jinhoa pens for colour mixed inks so don’t unintentionally mess up my finer pens).

Good luck, I hope you have a lot of fun! Clean your pens regularly and you should be fine!

I am interested to hear you say you find the De Atramentis inks so wet. I have a (admittedly fairly old) bottle of Archive Ink and I find it extremely dry in all my pens. I am considering adding White Lightning to it as well, but I am concerned that it will affect the permanence or archivability of the ink. Does anyone know why my bottle of the ink is so dry when everyone else seems to think it is such a wet ink

Hmm I don't know, but mine is definitely wet. Good luck!
