Nice video. Birmingham had character in the 70s and 80s but that's now gone with old sites demolished, new ones built, pedestrianised areas, new tram lines created and the much loved blue and cream livery of the buses that my dad drove that has disappeared.

Then and now videos are my favorite I play them at half speed and pause. I am going to go back through your videos and look for my ancestors places although probably a lot less images than cities. Thanks again.

Sitting in a hotel room on Broad Street watching this. My husband is from Birmingham and we are here to see family. I immediately felt at home in Brum from the first time I visited almost 20 years ago and was trilled to have recently found out that my Great Grandfather was born here before he moved to London where I thought my family were from. I wonder if that’s why I felt a connection? Who can say. It’s sad to me that there seems to be only shadows left of a lot of this great city’s architectural history. I guess that’s what they call progress. A shame x

What Islamic Rule, Birmingham has 1.5 million Citizens of which Muslims only make up a small percentage of that population. Try looking at Manchester.
