I love a good pier - one of the ingredients for a great seaside town.

Thanks Jay, yes there is a long way to go with this one but it's happening and hopefully it will be fully restored to its former Glory👍👍👍

The Birnbeck Pier Restoration is fascinating, and your interview with Alan really shed light on the project's future. It’s wonderful to see this beloved pier getting the attention it deserves. Happy to be a new subscriber!

That was a really great video Darren - and good to see work finally happening there. Good to know all the asbestos has now been removed so other work can commence. Loved the interview with Alan too - very informative. Cheers, Paul

Thanks Darren, good to see Weston... havent been there for about 40 years!! I used to go there with my Grandparents... the tide was always out! Ha. Do they still have the donkeys? Glad they're fixing the pier. Will be nice if the Waverley can visit again . Will have to put Weston on my list of places to visit when I'm next in the area. ❤ x

@louisesouthgate5231 hi Louise, thank you so much for your comment, yes the Donkey's are still there in the summer months all be it a little controversial and it is amazing that the old pier will live again hopefully and maybe we will see a return of the paddle steamers back at the pier in the future. One thing I found interesting is that the land buildings will open first as a cafe ect so maybe people can have a coffee whilst watching the pier take place 🙏👍👍👍
