I not gonna lie might quit because I’ve spent over a thousand hours learning this movement it’s not fair to take it away. I hopped on and it is now super infuriating trying stuff that had become second nature to me. If you are going to nerf tapstrafe you have to nerf the other side of it but it was at a balanced place where it and aimassist were so idk

(previous 4x pred) best thing they could possibly do, if they nerf aim assist and take away at the very least look directional based tap strafing for controller, and then let mnk do stuff that's impossible to mimic on controller movement wise. especially when cross play is a thing, it's not fair and frustrating. especially when there's nothing you can do to counter someone spinning around in circles and stuff at mach 2 while shooting a mastiff at you. i always thought movement in apex just needed an overall nerf because lurch strafing and pito strafing is so cheesy imo. makes the game almost unplayable for the opposing player and it alienates an entire mechanic from another input even if it's hard to learn because of how braindead you can be when you use it. if people can't hit you, you don't need cover or positioning. best update they've added in a while. if you want things balanced, balance the inputs and mechanics first. the people who quit know they're hardstuck plat/diamond without the tech they used to abuse. (most movement players are never pred because their gamesense is just blatantly bad because of their playstyle).

Am I glad that, at least until they find another way to cheat movement tech, that I don't have to deal with scripting octanes every game? Also yes. It used to be you wouldn't even get mad when you got killed by a neo strafing octane because you knew he was just good. Then people figured out how to script it and I'd say 90% of octane players I see were using it. There is no reason to pick octane. He's trash, unless you're a top 20 octane player, or you're cheating. Every single other legend is better. So, because only a few dozen players can actually legit play octane like that, anytime I saw an octane, I just assumed they were cheating, because they probably were.

It's not an exploit. Aim assist an exploit that doesn't take any practice or skill at all. It literally aims for you. How is that not an exploit? Where is the "movement exploit" you're talking about takes many hours to learn and even then you have to be cracked out of your mind to its Timmy's level or lemonhead in order to be able to pull off a successful tap strife in the middle of a battle against controller players and even then it doesn't help because aim assist is still too overpowered... It just tracks you as your tap strifing. Tap striffing was the only thing mouse and keyboard players had to compete with aim assist. Like what are you talking about. Let us not forget mouse and keyboard players are the ones who made Apex blow up in the first place because of its crazy movement not watching people run in a straight line with their gun out aim assisting people and hiding in corners playing like call of duty. All they had to do was just give us our own lobbies and then nothing would have to be nerfed. Back in the day when you plug the controller in on PC you got zero aim assist because mouse and keyboard is the native input for PC and if you want to play on PC then you should be playing a mouse and keyboard not a f****** controller. Go play on console if you want to do that. They should have never forced us to play together, it's all just money greedy b*******.

Yet MnK players can aim and control with their whole arm instead of using sticks. Using the extent of your full arm is really what gives MnK a huge benefit, roller dominates close range. Go long range on controller, it won't be the most for fun for the casual player

These guys are losing their mind. Instead of finding a way to make the game better they just make it worse everytime. Once you reach your highest rank there’s nothing to do on the game anymore, mixtape is boring and pubs unplayable as everybody hotdrops. They should just take off the dropship in pubs and make people drop on random POI’s so that you (as a noob or a pro) can loot your POI and find a fight where you want to make the game last longer and give the time to reset or respawn and take the loot back. This would decrease the disconnection rate on the game (and give back the possibility to get 4k and 20kills badges that are pretty rewarding) cause right now is higher then ever due to the fact that you don’t have time to reset at all. I think they should also add a mixtape with different ltm’s like: solo's, arena’s, 3 strikes and revival with this scheme “higher appealing, lower appealing” so that the player will not get stuck on only that type of mode. You just take the average player session and decide a fair amount of time for each one. I think this is the best thing they can do with the least amount of work cause its all already done without need to change in game mechanics which always favors on chunck of players
