It never ends, existence has no exit. To "be" is an awe inspiring word. People are afraid of death because of what they leave behind and the pain they may feel, not because of dying it self. If you have ever spoke to someone who knows they don't have much time left, they always talk about others and not about themselves, they are at peace. They speak with love, kindness and understanding. Comforting their love ones and letting them know, this to shall pass. Be present, act in truth and give it your all.

I have found that Mindfulness helps me greatly when dealing with questions of birth and death. All I have is living in the present. Birth is yesterday and death is tomorrow. I only have now to make the best of my life. Thus, stay in the present. What was and shall be will be!

However if consciousness arises from the brain, which is quite likely, then it ceases to exist when we die. The end result is oblivion, and nothing wrong with that bearing in mind we won’t exist to experience it….unless of course the cycle repeats with a new consciousness! At the end of the day it’s whatever gets you through the night.
