Ahhhh Amber. Birth stories. You have such a vivid memory of it all 😁. I had 6 in the 70' and 80's and that was TRAUMA. The deliveries were like going to the worst place, no one was allowed to be with me. I was alone for the duration. The staff were so not there and if by chance there was a nurse, they were so rude. So when you mention some hospital experience that mirrored mine, I just have to think, well I know that too. Love you and your honesty 💗

My daughter's second baby was born on the interstate. I was driving 70 mph while her husband delivered Bryce in the back seat. I will never ever forget that wild ride. It was written up in the newspaper the next day, the heading was "Life begins in the fast lane". He is now 26 years old but I still remember that drive to this day. I was praying the whole way to the hospital. It was a 45 minute drive that I well never forget.

God bless you, Amber. You are a strong woman. To have 2 miscarriages must have been emotionally difficult. It took courage to continue to have children. You and Mark have a beautiful family. I hope the 11 birth goes well. You must be close to your due date, now.

I enjoy hearing your stories. I can tell you for someone who suffered for years from PMS, there is nothing wimpy about it. My period started at the age of 10. I used to get so sick on the day I finallly started each month. I used to have to rock myself and I would wear myself out and finally sleep. The hot water bottle was used often and as I started to feel better, I would have tea. The school nurse became my best friend (she was my friend's grandmother) and her office was my refuge at school. Out of 4 weeks, I only had one good week a month. As I got older, the PMS was less severe. The anemia was bad. Finally, at the age of 44, I had an endometrial ablation. All of that only made me stronger because it didn't kill me. (In my 20s, my mother thought I might have endometriosis. I mentioned it to a doctor and he said I was too young. My mother said I wasn't too young. She had worked in a ob/gyn's office before getting married).

@@chicamorena18 In 1972, it was unusual and considered young to start at 10. Girls are younger and younger now. Were you sick? I had to good friends tell me they couldn't wait to start. I just listened. One told me she had a secret to tell me. I went to her house after school. Once we got off the bus, she told me. She was 13 and had started. I was disappointed. She had built up the idea of a secret all day. I thought it was something big. She was excited.

I, too, started at 10 and would get so sick that first day!! Only got lighter after I finally had my daughter. Which took 7 years to finally conceive for her and was never able to get pregnant again. I'm grateful that I was blessed at least with her.

@@isabelpimentel1415 Congratulations on having a daughter. I would have terrible PMS. I always wanted to have children until I started. There were a couple of other reasons, I physically didn't want to have a baby. One day, in my 20s, I felt faint on that first day. I called my mother and she came home. She had a friend with her, a retired nurse. The woman told me this problem would improve if I had a baby. Wrong topic to discuss when I was already feeling awful. As I said, I only had one good week a month.

Yes! I noticed that! Noah I think does resemble Marc! And Naomi and I do look like each other too I think. She also kind of reminds me of my mom who had really long red hair as a teen. It’s really fun to see the diversity!

You were talking about light skin. It’s been a difficult thing for me, getting older. I notice you are so good about wearing a hat. Are so good! Since 30, every year I get things frozen or cut off and once MOHS surgery. Now at mid 50s, all kinds of rough little spots, dark spots, all kinds of skin things happening. Stay covered up. I have noticed how good you are about that.
@TheHappyCaravan
@TheHappyCaravan Жыл бұрын
Yes! Especially with light skin it’s really easy to get cancer but it’s tricky to remember to cover up! I’m always asking Naomi to wear sunscreen or a hat. It’s just hard to remember.

I so enjoy your stories about birth of your precious babies. My first baby was a girl she was 6 pounds 8 1/2 ounces and my second baby was a boy and he was 8 pounds. My mama told me you will never be able to have babies the natural waybecause you’re so tiny. Well I had babies I had an eight pounder and I weighed 105 when I got pregnant and I had him in three hours, so yeah I did good. I will say my first labor was really hard. I was in labor on New Year’s Day and I thought maybe I was going to die that day. I don’t remember having any drugs back then. I don’t think they even asked me if I wanted any. I just remember I sure did hurt bad. I also screamed and cried. I threw up both times when I went into labor. Pain makes me nauseous. I felt really good when I was pregnant. The worst part was nausea at the beginning but after that I was good I had no problems at all. Look forward to hearing another story. By the way, I think Naomi looks just like you and I absolutely love red hair. I have a niece named Amber and she has red hair and both of her babies have red hair. Love your videos ❤️

Don't wait too long to try. I had a procedure done to laser the endometriosis and did 6 months of birth control and was able to get pregnant right after. I have 2 kids. 2 years apart at 33 and 35 years.

I am now 51 years old. I have severe endometriosis that was dx by surgery. I tried to have a baby for 6 years and eventually had my son 18 years ago by IVF. I couldn’t afford to do it again and never had any more children. Best of luck to you having children one day. If you do have trouble you can have a minor surgery to clean up the endometriosis inside you that helps most people get pregnant. I had it done twice and it did not help me BUT I want to stress to you that it does help people.

Amber, I am amazed at how you remember so much of your births. I think the reason I can't remember much is, I had my first in 73 and they had no epidurals, no one was allowed in the rooms with you and you gave birth in an operating room. It was so scary for me.
