Yeah I feel this, I cut contact with my mom. I love her, she did teach me a lot, but she is not someone I want around my daughter. One thing I know is that she won't be able to poison my daughter's mind as she did mine. My daughter won't ask "what did I do?" If I call her name like I do every time someone calls me. She will not think that my love is conditional. She won't be ignored like my mom did to me. I will love her and care for like I wish my mom had done for me. Sorry to everybody who had a crappy mom, but know there are still good people out there trying to change the next generation for the better.

Wow. This one really hit home! I lost my mother very unexpectedly in February then my Dad followed 4 months later. It's a loss that is unimaginably painful. I still cannot bring myself to delete their phone numbers and still wake up everyday and pick up my phone to call them. Cherish every second you have with your beautiful mother! Our parents are everything! It brightens my day to watch you and your Mom and the love you share for each other!❤❤❤
