Really great vibey song..and it's cool that Alas is the bisaya one but all of his solo parts are all Tagalog. They purposely distribute lines out of their comfort zone which is nicely done👌

I knew you are Bisaya because you let slip "kasagaran" (= usually = kadalasan) in a previous video. It's great that the Bisaya lines are distributed to different members not just Alas (I count R-Ji, Tomas, Mo and maybe even Jao "gimingaw kaayo ko nimo" = I really miss you = mis na mis kita, at 3.25 or 0:50 in the original video, although I do hear R-Ji's vocals behind Jao's visual). And I guess everybody is Bisaya, when they sing the hook "adlaw ug gabi-i" and the backing vocal "basin di-ay" (translated in the subtitles as "who knows" but it literally signifies something like "that could be it, that's new information to me", and it is pronounced a bit non-standard with a dj- sound, maybe that's dialect or just style). This video featured Bisaya, I hope in future videos feature the other languages of members. I am proud that there are so many Bisaya songs released on Spotify (even if the Bisaya music scene is largely ignored by the Manila-centered big commercial music companies). I am disappointed that there is so little contemporary pop music produced in Ilocano (my maternal grand parents are Ilocano, and my Mom would speak it with them). All I could find is EZ Mil's brief rap in Panalo. If Alamat showcases additional regional languages, each with its own song, I think that will encourage ethnic pride and encourage more people to contribute their distinctive culture to Pinoy POP.

I know Bisaya is pronounced differently in different regions of the Visayas and Mindanao (and even Masbate in Bicolandia), and different places often pronounce the "i" and "e" sounds either differently or merged, similarly for "u" and "o". In Cebu City and southern Cebu province the word for night is pronounced and spelled "gabi-i" never with an "e" sound. However, Cebu City does not define the standard pronunciations, because they drop the sound "l" in words like "balay" and "kahibalu" (house and to know, becoming baay and kahibawu), while southern Cebu province and Mindanao do not. The versions with "l" are arguably more standard.
