God this makes that scene in Enterprising Engines when the Fat Controller reveals to Gordon that all of his siblings except for Flying Scotsman were scrapped hit SO damn hard. At least Gordon has FS as well as his family on Sodor like Edward, Henry, James, Thomas, Percy, etc. this was such a wonderful video and I freaking love the connection between Henry and Gordon and makes their friendship even more special.

@@clonetrooper2003 I’m not so sure but consider that Gordon doesn’t know what happens to his siblings, it looks like it takes place before that moment. I could be wrong so take this with a grain of salt for until the creator themselves confirms this.

@clonetrooper2003 It's intended to be just before the book Enterprising Engines, as we find out Gordon believes that steam going extinct on the mainland is a lie- it's only once The Fat Controller informs Gordon that he understands The mention of the Black 5 hitting 96 miles per hour was recorded in January 1967. Scotsman visits Sodor (during Enterprising Engines) in 1967

Holy hell, the line "I don't have any direct siblings, Gordon. A half built boiler that's rusting away in an engine shed somewhere, maybe." It's so dark, I love it! It really shows that Henry doesn't have much or even a family at all being a stolen design & built in another works that is probably a empty warehouse now. It really does bring the story out of the water!

this was a wonderful story i think finding out that Gordon had no idea Henry was his brother and when he just finds out try's to prove himself and then when he brakes down confesses to Henry how he truly feels about the other railway is a huge stepping stone for both the big engines. I think its a great episode.

Wow. The dynamic nature of using such a serious and emotionally driven conversation with only a dark shed for a background really emphasised the tone and attitude of the scene, making it so much more than just 2 characters talking.

"It's a painful reminder of how little control we have." That hit hard. I love how existential this video is and how it utilises Gordon and Henry. Henry acknowledging that the past doesn't define him, and how Gordon's underlying stress does a number on him once he realises his family is in true danger and he's helpless to stop it. It's very well put together and I love it! Hope you'll continue to make these sort of videos. It's an interesting commentary on the world around us, conveyed through these characters we hold near and dear.

Wow!This was sooo good!I loved the relationship dynamic between Gordon and Henry in this, and it was so in character for Gordon to misinterpret what Henry said as a attack on him and his siblings,it makes it sense why he acted that way towards him,and it makes him more of a relatable character in this instead of rejecting him for no reason. I loved how supportive Henry was in this as well, very in character for him in my opinion.

This honestly was very emotional and in depth for a Thomas and Friends story, exploring more with the fact that Henry was a failed experimental engine, who's design originated from stolen plans drawn by Sir Nigel Gresely. It also explores that Gordon, despite being prideful with his heritage, is trying, in his own way, to help the preservation of his LNER family. While they are are from somewhat different origins, they have become a family themselves. After seeing blackraptorex2469's post, I really think Biscuit Cat Productions should remake Enterprising Engines, as Tender Engines paints Henry as a jealous individual of Flying Scotsman's double tenders, which would in some way counter Henry's character here. Flawless work Biscuit Cat Productions. Well done.

It was amazing to see it. I only recently heard about the incident from another KZbinr. I saw this video a while back and kept wondering how Gordon was unable to stop his wheels and finally put it together. Blue Peter's crew must have been so confused and scared when that happened. I assume Gordon knew what would happen based on how scared he looked. I imagine the damage wouldn't have been as severe as Blue Peter's, but I don't know how fast Gordon's wheels were turning. Blue Peter reached 140mph in place that day.
