I don't think that's fair - Oscar wouldn't be employed at this shop without Chris. Just because he's incredible at what he does doesn't mean Chris doesn't do his part and is in the way. Everyone ignores that Chris does all the production, the planning, the purchasing, the electronics, the wiring, the 3D modeling, he prob does all the contacts/admin, getting sponsors etc and did this while battling cancer.

That is looking more thought out than the last build and seems easier to put together from previous experiences. Too bad you couldn't do more builds like the 2019 Mustang to convert for production sales. I think you could make a lot of money.

One day I would like to hear the story about how you and Oscar met and started doing car stuff together. I know it sounds corny and im being extremely nosey but I think that stuff is kinda cool to hear. I think you mentioned in an old boat video somewhere that he worked for a company that made metal railings hence why his welding and pipe bending and just general metal fabrication is pretty good. Its like sometimes you meet people at some of the most unsuspecting places and these people just become your friends for life because you all share a deep passion for something.

@matthewsmall622511 ай бұрын
You know making BifB videos won’t last forever. You should do one or both of these things for future success: 1) Production shop that builds these mustangs for buyers. 2) Create a kit with all of the body parts and step-by-step instructions with accompanying videos. Every part is high quality, has all cut outs needed and minimal welding. This lets builders build their own with a great kit. Then you can do the same with other cars… Camaros, Challengers, etc.

From an impact standpoint, an impact on the top of the roof where the "X" meets the hoop (kinda above the B pillar), would cause that tube to bend at the point its welded at the frame. It seems like a long piece without ancillary support for the case of impacts. But for frame rigidity, it's sound. If you'd want to add additional support, I'd suggest small kicker tubes below the X straight down to the frame.

Fyi. Your cage pipes need to go straight back. After your main hoop. You can add a x behind the seat or add a halo hoop or double seat belt bars. The main hoop should be tied in to your frame or your unibody you should weld your brace plate to main structural. If you don’t want to move your pips over that far. You can always tie them into the shoxs tower. All of this has to do will side impact at high speeds and how the system folds and collapses under pressure so be safe and move the pipes since we all know your going to race it 😊
