Paul Jacob .........ditto......I'll echo those exact same sentiments......... His Eminence's 'in-your-face' push-back homily to the ever increasing secular society is to take off the blindfold of denial and to open closed minds -- and to now allow the sunlight of truth to enter into that dark space of secularism's denial of our Catholic/Christian belief of Our Risen Lord and God, Jesus Christ........the logic laid out is irrefutable in the presence of an open mind......Mike

PRAYERS work as follows::Almighty God Jesus has heard your prayers and will protect you and your loved ones and your favourite country from fires,landslides, hurricanes,tsunamis, cancer,His beautifully designed Ebola-virus or the Mighty Freaking Corona-Virus. Or He will neither protect you nor your loved ones nor your favourite country , because a) He has other plans with you and your loved ones and your favourite country and it is n o t your job to interfere with His plans, (how dare you!) and/or b) Almighty God acts in mysterious ways:Like killing your familiy in an earthquake or washing away your country with a freaking tsunami or destroying everything with a mighty fire.

God doesn't like you to praise Him..He rather wants you to understand Him. God gives everyone freewill, but I see Catholics have never given Catholic priests their freewills. Even Catholics have themselves in chains for so long!

True Story: One man refused a drink offered by his friend in a pub saying he had become a Christian. The other man said "You don't believe in all that nonsense rising from the dead and turning water into wine, do you" The man replied, "Whether Jesus turned water into wine or not I do not know, but this I do know, in my house he has turned beer into food, furniture and clothes for my children."
@alt2ooning4 жыл бұрын
@@aiwhoisdothere6966 - You write “God doesn’t like you to praise Him” - except Holy Scripture from Genesis to Revelation contain a plethora of verses that clearly counter your assertion. You write “He rather wants you to understand Him” - GNT Romans 11:33 ”How great are God's riches! How deep are his wisdom and knowledge! Who can explain his decisions? Who can understand his ways?”- then GNT 1 John 5:20 “ We know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we know the true God. We live in union with the true God-in union with his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and this is eternal life”. You write “God gives everyone free will, but I see Catholics have never given Catholic priests their free will.” -Prior to entering religious life/Ordination a vow is taken to be adhered to those embedded vows. Free will is at the forefront, with no-one coercing the about-to-be ordained priest ….hence their free will enables them to choose to accept the vow or not to accept. The same responsibility can be applied regarding the Oath of Enlistment for Military service or Marriage Vows. Free will is present when entering any of those vocations. You accept or you don’t willingly. Along that continuum, then to disavow and recant is also free will. The argument becomes circular. Abiding by the vow is honorable - and to recant from the responsibility of the vow is dishonorable. In either case free will leads the way. Your closing paragraph that “Even Catholics have themselves in chains for so long.” Free will enables any Catholic to remain willingly and joyously ‘shackled’ to their FAITH and live willfully embracing the yoke placed upon the willing servant of their Lord Jesus Christ as in Matthew 11:30 (GNT) For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light.”- or to go the way and to the other option, and that is to get the ‘cutting torch’ and cut themselves free because the yoke although light and easy, yet for some is far too heavy and far too demanding. Free will is on display in both cases. May the peace of the Risen Lord Jesus Christ be with you……Mike

This is all in the Bible yet we need only to hear them in terms we might understand and have faith , belief and trust. God has proven His faithfulness; now it is our turn to prove our faith, trust and belief in Him and His Word?
